The Fab Four - Main Dining on Celebrity Beyond
Included Main Dining Rooms on Celebrity Beyond
Celebrity Beyond Main Dining | MDR | Included Dining
There are four complimentary main dining rooms (MDRs) on board Celebrity Beyond each with their own distinctive design and signature dishes inspired by specific regions of the world. I like to call them the Fab Four!
This may be the main dining rooms, but this doesn’t mean that the food is ordinary, far from it. Each menu has been crafted by Celebrity’s Michelin-starred chef to ensure that a fine dining experience is always included.
If you opt for Select Dining - either early or late sitting - you will be allocated one of the four Main Dining Rooms, with the option to dine in the other three upon request. If you choose Celebrity Select Dining Anytime, you can dine in any of the four restaurants when you want, although it is still recommended that you book.
Cyprus Restaurant
As the name suggests, the Cyprus Restaurant is a nod to the Greek heritage of Celebrity Cruises. Interior design firm Simeone Deary gave Cyprus Restaurant a fresh new look, using Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, as their inspiration. You will even find a sculpture of her in the foyer. With delicate gold accents, and sculptured elements you will feel as though you are dining in the lap of the gods.
The menus in Cyprus Restaurant include seafood, cheeses and meat, and feature simple, clean dishes that celebrate the food and wine of this much-loved Mediterranean region. As well as the dishes specific to Cyprus, you can enjoy some Celebrity Signature dishes and, of course, the usual Classic menu is still available offering the familiar broiled salmon, grilled chicken breast and New York Strip/sirloin steak. If you are travelling with a young family, you will be pleased to note that there is also a very nice kids menu.
Recommendations: I particularly enjoyed the Aegean Sea Breeze Cocktail before my meal and a wonderful Lemon Dill Chicken Souvlaki, which transported me back to a favourite taverna in Paphos. Dessert just had to be Galaktoboureko - a delicious concoction of delectably thick whipped Greek yoghurt with honey and nuts.
Sample Menus are shown below - it may look like there are some duplications but they rotate the menus so there are a mix of constant options and varied options.
Open for: Breakfast, Lunch (on sea days) and Dinner (daily)
Capacity: 342 Location: Deck 4 Starboard Mid-Aft.

Tuscan Restaurant
If you are a previous Celebrity Cruise guest, you will be familiar with the hugely popular specialty dining venue, Tuscan Grille. The Tuscan Restaurant has built on the success of the Tuscan Grille to offer Celebrity Beyond guests a taste of Southern Italy, but without the speciality price tag. Imagine elevated Italian-inspired dishes served in fabulous classically designed surroundings inspired by stylish Italian fashion and film, in monochrome with sunflower-hued accents. You can look forward to an authentic taste of the region such as homemade pastas.
Recommendations: Aperitif has to be the gin-based botanical Garden Negroni. I always like to try different food when I travel, do you? If so, why not try Octopus Carpaccio followed by Strozzapreti Carbonara? Delicious! You can, as in each of the Fab Four Main Dining Rooms, select dishes from the Celebrity Signature or Classic Menus.
Open for: Dinner
Capacity: 344 Location: Deck 3 Starboard Mid-Aft.

Normandie Restaurant
Another complimentary restaurant originating from a speciality venue popular on other Celebrity ships. This time it is Normandie Restaurant, inspired by Murano and bringing a taste of contemporary French cuisine, in a modern upscale environment.
Expect, muted leather seating and fabulous contemporary chandeliers over white linen clad tables. My favourite seating were the ebony-black high-backed accent chairs with beautifully upholstered seating in cherry-blossom shades matching the carpet and soft furnishings.
Recommendations: My aperitif of choice would be the French Daiquiri. Then Baked Brie Cheese with Caramelized Apples, Port Wine Syrup followed by Beef Tenderloin En Croute. If you have room for dessert, un petit oiseau (little bird) tells me that the Millefeuille is delightful.
Open for: Dinner
Capacity: 346 Location: Deck 3 Port Side Mid-Aft.

Cosmopolitan Restaurant
The last of the ‘Fab Four’ - but in no way the ‘Ringo’ of the group (if you know, you know). The Cosmopolitan Restaurant is probably the most similar to the current main dining experience across the fleet, but as this is Celebrity Beyond where everything is beyond your expectations, it has evolved to showcase Celebrity’s culinary expertise at its best. As you enter the walk-through wine display at its entrance, you know that this is no ordinary dining room. The cuisine is described as ‘American with a global influence’ and includes favourite dishes reimagined.
The ambience and decor in Cosmopolitan is contemporary chic with tables to suit every size of dining party. If you are lucky you may even get a coveted window table.
Recommendations: Rose & Mary vodka based cocktail sounds delicious as an aperitif followed by Seared Scallops and then perhaps Celebrity Signature Steak Diane.
Open for: Breakfast, Lunch (on sea days) and Dinner (daily)
Capacity: 346. Location: Deck 4 Port Side Mid-Aft

I visited each of the four main dining rooms, and loved each of them. They each had a personality of their own, from their design to their speciality menu options. Whichever you are allocated you will be assured of a fabulous gastronomic experience; but do try to visit at least one of the others - you won’t be disappointed.
