Windstar Cruises, the leading small ship cruise line, is excited to reveal a first glimpse of its latest vessel, Star Seeker. This brand-new ship, designed to accommodate 224 guests, is set to make its debut in January 2026.

Star Seeker will feature 112 spacious suites, with only ten exceptions offering either a full private veranda or floor-to-ceiling infinity window. Guests can also enjoy five dining options, all included in Windstar’s cruise fare, a full-service spa with a grand entrance from the deck above, a fitness centre, and a fresh take on the line’s iconic Watersports Platform. This innovative feature transforms the ocean into an infinity pool, allowing guests to access the sea directly from the ship.

“Guests aboard Star Seeker will experience a sense of tranquillity in their suites; they are designed to be an oasis for relaxation,” says Stijn Creupelandt, vice president of hotel operations at Windstar Cruises. “We used light wood and a soothing colour palette of light blues, greens, and natural browns – elements that reflect our Star Class style. Inspired by the sea, sky, and landscapes, these colours and textures create a serene atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. In the ship’s public spaces and restaurants, you’ll find more vibrant hues inspired by sunrises and sunsets, including warm yellows, golds, and oranges, ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort throughout the ship.”

Star Seeker will introduce a new suite category for the line: the Horizon Owner’s Suites. Located at the aft of the ship on deck 7, these suites can be combined with adjacent suites to provide additional space, making them ideal for multi-generational families. Each suite boasts a wrap-around balcony offering breathtaking views – perfect for evening cocktails or a private dinner. The Horizon Owner’s Suites are the most luxurious and spacious accommodations aboard Star Seeker, but the ship offers a full range of suite options with 12 different accommodation types, many of which can accommodate triple occupancy. Among these, 72 suites feature large verandas where guests can sit outside to enjoy the view and fresh air, while 30 infinity suites boast a large floor-to-ceiling infinity window that slides halfway down, allowing for refreshing sea breezes.

In keeping with Windstar’s tradition, Star Seeker will not have any interior cabins. The ship’s 10 Oceanview suites are flooded with natural light and offer stunning sea views, a walk-in mosaic glass shower, and a luxurious queen bed that can be converted into twins if desired. All suites come equipped with a fully stocked mini-bar and refrigerator, interactive TV, safe, fresh fruit, and waffle weave robe and slippers. The four highest suite categories – Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe – offer additional amenities such as an Illy espresso machine, Canapés service, and fresh flowers.

Currently under construction in Portugal, Star Seeker will embark on its maiden voyage with a Transatlantic sailing in early January 2026, travelling from Málaga to Miami. Following a christening event in Miami, the ship will embark on its first Caribbean voyage before offering additional cruises in the region. Star Seeker will then head up the West Coast of the United States for a full season of summer cruises in Alaska. After Alaska, the ship will sail to Japan, reintroducing Windstar’s popular Japan itineraries before continuing on to Southeast Asia. Details of Star Seeker’s Caribbean, Alaska, and Japan cruises will be announced first to Yacht Club members (loyalty members) and travel advisors, providing them with priority booking access. The itineraries will be made public and available for booking in early September.

Windstar is also set to debut an additional sister ship, Star Explorer, in December 2026.
