Valiant Lady Returns Reimagined With Ariya Restaurant, New Entertainment & Redesigned Spaces (2026)

Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady has returned from a major 2026 dry dock with a striking new look and an expanded onboard experience designed to elevate life at sea.

Virgin Voyages has unveiled a dramatically refreshed Valiant Lady following an extensive dry dock, complete with a brand-new Indian restaurant, redesigned social spaces, upgraded nightlife and more than 20 new entertainment experiences. Here’s everything that’s changed before she begins her latest Mediterranean season.

Headlining the transformation is Ariya, a vibrant new Indian restaurant created with chef Maneet Chauhan, alongside refreshed social spaces, redesigned nightlife venues and more than 20 new entertainment “Happenings” across the ship.

Sailing now through the Mediterranean before repositioning to the Caribbean, Valiant Lady’s glow-up marks one of Virgin Voyages’ most significant onboard refreshes to date — blending bold dining, immersive entertainment and reimagined spaces into a noticeably more energetic voyage experience.

What’s new on Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady in 2026?

Following her 2026 dry dock, Valiant Lady has returned with a brand-new Indian restaurant called Ariya, more than 20 new entertainment experiences, redesigned public spaces including The Manor and The Dock, enhanced retail shopping, refreshed outdoor lounges and a renewed focus on Virgin Voyages’ award-winning onboard service.

Valiant Lady Returns Better Than Ever After Major 2026 Refresh

Virgin Voyages has officially welcomed Valiant Lady back to service following an extensive dry dock that has transformed the ship ahead of her 2026 Mediterranean season.

Rather than simply refreshing décor, the cruise line has reimagined many of the ship’s most popular venues, introduced an exciting new speciality restaurant, expanded onboard entertainment and invested heavily in crew culture.

The result is a ship that feels familiar to returning Sailors but offers plenty of new reasons to book another voyage.

Ariya Becomes Virgin Voyages’ New Signature Restaurant

The biggest addition is undoubtedly Ariya, a contemporary Indian restaurant replacing Razzle Dazzle’s previous concept.

Created in partnership with Indie Culinaire and celebrated chef Maneet Chauhan, Ariya offers a menu inspired by regional Indian cuisine rather than a single style of cooking.

Guests can expect dishes including:

  • Lamb Shank Biryani

  • Puffed Rice & Avocado Chaat

  • Regional curries

  • Modern Indian-inspired cocktails

  • Carefully selected wines and spirits

The 220-seat venue has been designed around the colours and atmosphere of India’s spice markets, creating one of the most visually striking restaurants in the fleet.

Interestingly, the restaurant takes its name from Sir Richard Branson’s great-great-grandmother, whose travels in Tamil Nadu inspired the concept.

Popular Venues Receive Major Upgrades

Virgin Voyages hasn’t limited improvements to one restaurant.

Several of the ship’s best-loved venues have also been redesigned.

The Athletic Club

More shaded daybeds and additional ocean-facing seating make this adults-only outdoor space even more comfortable for relaxing during sea days.

The Manor

The ship’s nightclub has received one of the most noticeable changes.

Raised platforms have been removed, creating a much larger dance floor and improving the overall atmosphere for late-night parties.

Grounds Club Too

Already popular for its Intelligentsia coffee, the venue now transforms into a full cocktail bar during the evening, making it an ideal pre-dinner or post-show stop.

On the Rocks

The central cocktail bar now features a relocated stage with improved sightlines and additional seating, making live performances easier to enjoy.

The Dock

One of Virgin Voyages’ signature outdoor spaces now includes an upgraded performance area together with a windscreen, helping live entertainment continue comfortably in varying weather conditions.

The Roundabout

New furniture and refreshed décor give this central social hub an entirely new look while retaining its relaxed atmosphere.

More Than 20 New Happenings Join the Programme

One of the biggest changes isn’t physical at all.

Virgin Voyages has introduced more than 20 brand-new Happenings, further expanding the line’s unique entertainment programme.

Unlike traditional cruise directors, Virgin’s cast of hosts encourage guests to participate in interactive experiences throughout the day and evening.

Highlights include:

Interactive Shows

  • Sink or Swim

  • Sports Smarts

  • Pay Attent!on

  • Nice Box!

Food & Drink Experiences

  • Extra Virgin: Aperitivo Club

  • Espresso Yourself

  • Trust Your Tongue

  • Sweet Aft Matcha

Social Games

  • Dirty Laundry

  • Off The Record

  • Knees Up

  • Check, Please

Wellness & Creative Activities

  • Silent Sweat

  • VHS Volume 2: The Great British Burn Off

  • Upcycle Club

  • Hooked

  • Knot Today

The expanded programme is designed to ensure every venue feels lively throughout the voyage, giving guests even more opportunities to socialise.

Retail Shopping Expands

Shopping has also received attention during the refit.

Luxury brands TAG Heuer and Pandora join the onboard boutiques, while the Virgin Voyages merchandise store has moved into a larger, more prominent location.

Investment In Crew Experience

While most dry docks focus purely on physical improvements, Virgin Voyages has also invested behind the scenes.

Every one of the ship’s 1,300-plus crew members completed an enhanced “Virgin Way” culture programme, reinforcing the personalised service that has become one of the cruise line’s defining characteristics.

Where is Valiant Lady Sailing?

Following her return to service, Valiant Lady’s programme includes:

Join Valiant Lady for a Total Eclipse voyage in the Mediterranean

  • Italian Grand Tour itineraries

  • French Riviera sailings

  • Ibiza voyages

  • Northern Explorer cruises from Amsterdam to Iceland

  • A special Mediterranean Total Solar Eclipse sailing

  • Caribbean cruises from San Juan between October 2026 and April 2027

These itineraries range from six to eight nights, with Europe during the summer before repositioning to the Caribbean for winter.

Why This Matters

Virgin Voyages has consistently avoided the traditional cruise formula, and this latest investment shows the line continues to evolve rather than stand still.

Instead of adding headline-grabbing attractions, the focus has been on improving the spaces guests actually use every day - restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and social areas.

Combined with the introduction of Ariya and an expanded entertainment programme, Valiant Lady now offers even more reasons for both first-time and returning Sailors to book.
