Riviera Travel Unveils Lord Byron’s Grand Transformation for 2024 Cruise Season

Riviera Travel River Ship Lord Byron is to get a Glow-Up

In preparation for the upcoming 2024 cruise season, Riviera Travel has announced plans to refurbish its river ship, Lord Byron. The extensive renovations will encompass all 74 cabins on the 140-guest vessel, with a particular focus on enhancing the guest experience.

MS Lord Byron Overview

Built in 2013, MS Lord Byron has 74 cabins and can accommodate just 140 guests with 36 crew

Every element of the MS Lord Byron has been meticulously designed to the highest standards, providing passengers with an unparalleled river cruising experience in luxurious comfort. In collaboration with Swiss partner Scylla AG, known for nearly 40 years of expertise, no expense was spared in creating this vessel. The spacious, marble-floored lobby and stylish furnishings with advanced safety systems showcase the attention to detail. Passengers can indulge in understated opulence with crafted hardwoods, wrought iron, copper, brass, and soft leather, creating a chic ambiance. Facilities include air conditioning, a lounge and bar, spa and wellness, a 24-hour front desk, restaurant, brasserie, laundry service, boutique gift shop, and a small splash pool, all connected by a lift between Upper and Middle Decks.

Now the brand has announced that in order to maintain the exacting standards that Riviera Travel have for their guests, and to elevate their onboard experience, it has been decided to invest in enhancing the ship still further.

The Transformation

The La Brasserie restaurant is set to undergo a significant transformation, featuring new decor and a fresh design to elevate the dining atmosphere. Public areas will receive a facelift with the introduction of new furniture, while brand-new carpets will be installed throughout the ship.

The refurbishment is currently underway at the shipyard in Chalon, France, with the ambitious project expected to be completed in time for the commencement of the 2024 season. Riviera Travel’s Head of Product, Will Sarson, said of the improvements, “These enhancements to our much-loved ship Lord Byron will elevate the overall guest experience. From refreshed cabin touches to new décor in the restaurant and public spaces, we are committed to providing a warm and appealing environment for all our guests.”

Lord Byron is scheduled to operate cruises along the Rhône river from April 2024 onwards. Travel enthusiasts can find more information about the cruise offerings by visiting rivieratravel.co.uk or contacting Riviera Travel at 01283 523431.
