Celestyal - Changes to 2024/2025 Season

Celestyal Announces Updates to 2024/2025 Season

Celestyal has announced changes to its 2024/2025 season, including the cancellation of its 14-night repositioning cruises, ‘Ancient Athens to Dazzling Doha’ and ‘Dazzling Doha to Ancient Athens’, originally set to depart on 26th October 2024 and 8th March 2025. These cancellations are due to the recent political unrest in the Red Sea region.

To ensure the success of its inaugural Arabian Gulf season, Celestyal Journey will now undertake a 34-night non-commercial repositioning cruise to and from Doha, Qatar. As a result, the first three ‘Desert Days’ itineraries, departing from Doha on 9th, 16th, and 23rd November 2024, have been cancelled. Additionally, the first three ‘Heavenly Adriatic’ itineraries in 2025, scheduled for 22nd and 29th March and 5th April, have also been cancelled.

Celestyal Journey’s maiden voyage in the Arabian Gulf will now be the seven-night ‘Desert Days & Qatar Grand Prix’ cruise, departing from Doha on 30th November 2024. This itinerary includes three days in Doha for the Qatar Grand Prix, an overnight stay in Dubai Marina, and stops in Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island, and Abu Dhabi. Following this, a seven-night ‘Desert Days & Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’ cruise will depart from Dubai on 2nd December 2024, with a full day and late-night stay in Abu Dhabi for the Grand Prix on 8th December.

Lee Haslett, Celestyal’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed regret over the cancellations but emphasised the company’s commitment to its global year-round operations. Impacted guests have been offered alternative cruise options or reimbursements.

Celestyal Journey’s inaugural Arabian Gulf season will now feature nine seven-night ‘Desert Days’ sailings between November 2024 and March 2025, with embarkation options in Doha, Abu Dhabi, or Dubai, along with the two special Grand Prix voyages.
