Norwegian Cruise Line® Expands Port-Immersive Europe Itineraries for 2026 Spring/Summer Season

Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL), the trailblazer in global cruise travel, has unveiled an exciting array of new cruises for its 2026 spring/summer season. With a strong focus on port-immersive experiences, the season will feature a wide variety of seven-day European cruises with minimal or no sea days, as well as longer voyages visiting ports almost every day.

Norwegian Dawn

Among the highlights, Norwegian Sun® will offer a full Baltic season with seven- and nine-day open-jaw sailings from Copenhagen, Denmark, and for the first time, Helsinki, which debuts as a new homeport for NCL. Across these new itineraries, NCL will visit 150 unique ports of call, including first-time stops in Portree, Scotland; Leirvik (Stord), Norway; and Palamós, Spain.

In addition to its European offerings, NCL’s extensive itinerary portfolio includes bucket-list cruises through the South Pacific, summer voyages in the Western Caribbean, and autumn journeys to Canada and New England.

Expanded European Itineraries

Orwegian Star in Reykjavik

In 2026, NCL will enhance its European offerings with more seven-day itineraries featuring limited or no sea days, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in each destination. Select sailings will include overnight stays in iconic cities like Reykjavik, Iceland; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Istanbul, Turkey, with 22 overnight stays in Europe available throughout the season. With 11 unique embarkation ports across 10 European countries, including the new addition of Helsinki, NCL offers travellers flexibility in planning their dream European vacation.

Among the new Europe itineraries, NCL will debut in Portree, Scotland; Leirvik (Stord), Norway; and Palamós, Spain, expanding its reach to these captivating destinations.

Northern Europe Highlights

Norwegian Sun will be at the forefront of NCL’s Northern Europe itineraries, offering a full Baltic season from June to October 2026. These seven- to ten-day voyages allow guests to embark in Copenhagen, Denmark, or Helsinki, and visit a variety of ports in Norway, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden, among others. Select nine-day sailings will feature an overnight stay in Copenhagen, providing ample time to explore the city’s rich history, vibrant entertainment district, and world-renowned shopping.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Sky® will commence her second full European season in April 2026, offering four unique seven-day Northern Capitals sailings, with embarkation in Le Havre, France, or Copenhagen. The ship will also embark on a series of 10- and 11-day British Isles voyages, with NCL making its debut in Portree, Scotland, on its 17th May 2026 sailing.

Travellers seeking the long summer daylight of Iceland can choose from Norwegian Star’s® 10- or 11-day Extraordinary Journeys between May and September 2026, with open-jaw sailings from Reykjavik, Iceland, or Southampton, UK. These voyages include NCL’s first visit to Leirvik (Stord), Norway, and the chance to explore the town’s attractive harbour and historical sites.

Mediterranean and Greek Isles Adventures

Norwegian Viva in Santorini

From April to October 2026, NCL’s newest ship, Norwegian Viva®, will sail nine- and 10-day Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles voyages. These itineraries, designed for maximum port time, include overnight stays in Istanbul, Turkey, and visits to popular destinations in Turkey, Malta, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, and Croatia.

In the Western Mediterranean, Norwegian Epic® will offer open-jaw sailings between Barcelona, Spain, and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, with calls to Nice/Monaco (Villefranche), Marseille, France, and several Italian ports. Norwegian Dawn® will provide no sea days on its open-jaw cruises between Barcelona and Lisbon, Portugal, with late departures from Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza, Spain, allowing guests to fully enjoy the Mediterranean’s vibrant nightlife.

Western Caribbean, Canada & New England Voyages

Norwegian Escape® will offer seven-day roundtrip sailings to the Western Caribbean from New Orleans in April and May 2026, followed by Miami-based voyages from May to August. These itineraries will visit Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; Roatán (Bay Islands), Honduras; and Harvest Caye, NCL’s private resort destination in Southern Belize. For the autumn season, Norwegian Escape will operate seven-day roundtrip Canada & New England voyages from New York City, including the ship’s first-ever call to Boston on 28th August 2026.

Immersive South Pacific Sailings with Norwegian Spirit®

Norwegian Spirit in Polynesia

From April to November 2026, Norwegian Spirit® will offer a variety of 11- to 13-day South Pacific voyages, visiting destinations such as New Caledonia, Fiji, Samoa, French Polynesia, and the Hawaiian Islands. These open-jaw sailings provide guests with multiple embarkation options, including Sydney, Papeete, Honolulu, and Lautoka, Fiji.

For those seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Norwegian Spirit will also offer four unique 16-day “Fire and Ice” voyages between July and September 2026, combining the warm-weather beauty of Hawaii with the majestic landscapes of Alaska.
