MSC Disarita

A margarita is a tequila-based cocktail believed to have been developed during prohibition when drinkers headed south over the Mexican border to imbibe. Originally the Daisy (margarita is Spanish for "daisy") was made with brandy.

This contemporary version is a speciality of MSC Cruises and incorporates the delicious almond-ness that is Amaretto or more specifically, Disaronno.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Disaronno Originale
  • 1 oz. tequila
  • 2 oz. lemon margarita mix
  • 1 lime wheel

Method:

  • Dip margarita glass in salt and set aside.
  • Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add Disaronno, tequila and lemon margarita mix to mixing glass.
  • Shake contents.
  • Strain into margarita glass.
  • Garnish with lime wheel.
