Celebrity Beyond is one of Celebrity Cruises’ most distinctive ships, combining the innovative design of the Edge Series with a host of spaces designed to make the most of the sea around you.
I’ve been following Celebrity Beyond since her construction and was lucky enough to experience the ship before she entered service. This guide brings together my Celebrity Beyond deck plans, cabin advice, dining guides, ship review and latest news, along with the major changes planned for the ship before she comes to Southampton.
Whether you’re thinking about booking Celebrity Beyond, already have a cruise booked or simply want to know what this unusual ship is really like, you’ll find the Cruise Lowdown here.

Celebrity Beyond Deck Plans

Celebrity Beyond’s innovative design means that understanding the deck plans is particularly useful before you sail. The ship has a number of unusual spaces and its layout isn’t always immediately obvious, particularly around the Magic Carpet, Resort Deck, Rooftop Garden and accommodation areas.
My updated Celebrity Beyond deck plan guide takes you deck by deck, showing where you’ll find the restaurants, bars, entertainment, outdoor spaces and cabins, as well as highlighting some of the locations worth knowing about when choosing your stateroom.

Celebrity Beyond Cabins & Suites
Choosing a cabin on Celebrity Beyond isn’t simply a question of Inside, Ocean View or Balcony. The Edge Series introduced some very different accommodation, including Celebrity’s Infinite Veranda concept, while Beyond also has Sunset Veranda staterooms, AquaClass accommodation and some spectacular suites.
Our Celebrity Beyond deck plans guide looks at cabin locations as well as the ship’s public spaces, helping you understand where different staterooms are positioned and which areas of the ship may suit you best.

The Iconic Suite
At the other end of the scale is Celebrity Beyond’s remarkable Iconic Suite. With its position above the bridge and huge indoor and outdoor space, it is one of the ship’s headline accommodation options.
I’ve had a chance to see inside this spectacular suite, even if staying in one is rather beyond my own cruise budget.

Celebrity Beyond Restaurants & Dining
Food is a big part of the Celebrity Beyond experience, with four complimentary main dining restaurants giving passengers a choice of different settings and menus rather than one traditional main dining room.
There’s also the Oceanview Café for more casual dining, alongside speciality restaurants and some particularly distinctive venues.
I’ve covered the dining options individually, including Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud, the four main restaurants and Oceanview Café, so you can see what is included and what comes with an additional charge.

Celebrity Beyond Magic Carpet
The Magic Carpet is probably the feature that makes Celebrity Beyond instantly recognisable.
This huge orange cantilevered platform sits on the starboard side of the ship and moves between different decks, changing its purpose depending on where it is positioned. It can be a very different experience depending on when and where you encounter it.
I’ve put together a detailed guide explaining how the Magic Carpet works, where it is located and what you need to know if you’re considering a cabin nearby.

What Is Celebrity Beyond Really Like?
There is a difference between reading about a cruise ship and actually stepping aboard one.
I was fortunate enough to experience Celebrity Beyond as an invited guest before her inaugural season, having followed her development from the keel-laying ceremony onwards. I’d already seen the renders, watched the big reveal and studied the deck plans, but nothing quite prepared me for seeing the finished ship in person.
My review looks beyond the brochure description and considers what Celebrity Beyond is actually like to sail on, from the design and atmosphere to the spaces that make the biggest impression.

Celebrity Beyond 2026 Refurbishment
Celebrity Beyond is about to enter an important new phase in her life.
The ship is scheduled for a major dry dock in November 2026, with significant changes planned for the upper decks and dining offering. If you’ve previously sailed on Beyond or have been studying the current deck plans, some familiar spaces will look very different afterwards.
I’m following the changes closely and have mapped out where the major alterations are taking place.

Celebrity Beyond from Southampton
Celebrity Beyond has another particularly interesting chapter ahead for UK cruisers.
The ship is scheduled to come to Southampton for the 2028 European summer season, making her one of the Celebrity ships to watch if you want to experience an Edge Series ship without flying to join your cruise.
I’ve put together a dedicated guide to the Southampton deployment, including what we know about the 2028 season and why Beyond’s arrival is significant for UK cruisers.

Celebrity Beyond: The Lowdown
Celebrity Beyond was designed to push the Edge Series concept further, and after spending time onboard I can understand why she made such an impression.
The ship’s design is undoubtedly one of her biggest strengths. There are dramatic spaces, clever use of outdoor areas and plenty of places where the sea is very much part of the experience. But Beyond isn’t simply about the wow factor. Where you choose to stay, how you use the different decks and which dining and outdoor venues appeal to you can make a real difference to your cruise.
For me, the Magic Carpet remains one of the most clever features on the ship, while the Resort Deck, Sunset Bar and Eden give Beyond a personality that sets her apart from many conventional cruise ships.
The forthcoming refurbishment also makes her particularly interesting. By the time she arrives in Southampton in 2028, Celebrity Beyond will be a rather different ship from the one I first stepped aboard.
If you’re considering sailing on her, I’d recommend starting with the deck plans and cabin guide, then working through the dining and Magic Carpet guides before booking. And if you want to know what I really thought of the ship, don’t miss my full review.
