Windstar Cruises Partner with Pacific Beachcomber in French Polynesia

Windstar Cruises and Pacific Beachcomber Unveil New Collaboration to Enhance French Polynesian Experience

Windstar Cruises, renowned for its small ship cruising experiences in French Polynesia, has announced an exciting new collaboration with Pacific Beachcomber, a luxury operator boasting seven exquisite hotels in the region, including InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), Maitai Hotels, and The Brando.

A highlight of this partnership is the introduction of two-night stay packages at The Brando, Pacific Beachcomber’s exclusive private island eco-resort. Nestled amidst pristine white-sand beaches and overlooking a breathtaking five-mile-wide lagoon, The Brando comprises just 35 private villas. This secluded haven, frequented by celebrities, pays homage to the late Marlon Brando, who acquired the atoll in the 1960s. Guests of The Brando can indulge in activities such as snorkelling, bird watching, cultural expeditions, and rejuvenating spa treatments at the renowned Varua Te Ora Polynesian Spa.

Christopher Prelog, President of Windstar Cruises, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership not only reinforces our dedication to delivering unparalleled luxury and romantic experiences for our guests in French Polynesia but also allows us to seamlessly extend the Windstar experience from sea to land, ensuring exceptional hospitality throughout their journey.”

Commencing from 1st May 2024 as a post-cruise add-on, this exclusive package is reserved solely for guests in Star Breeze’s top suites: the esteemed Broadmoor and Sea Island Suites, and Owner’s Suites. The experience encompasses daily excursions, spa treatments, beach equipment, and more. Additionally, transfers via plane to and from The Brando (a swift 20-minute flight from Papeete, the cruise disembarkation point) are included. Prices for this extraordinary package start from $6,900 per person, based on double occupancy.

Windstar has maintained an exclusive partnership with Pacific Beachcomber’s InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa in Papeete since February, offering convenient pre- and post-cruise stays on the island of Tahiti. Moreover, the resort has been integrated into Windstar’s popular Air + Hotel packages from both Los Angeles and Seattle.

Richard Bailey, Chairman of Pacific Beachcomber, warmly welcomed Windstar Cruises’ guests to explore their secluded island havens, remarking, “Together, we strive to immerse our guests deeply in the vibrant Polynesian culture and the untouched splendour of our natural surroundings.”

In Bora Bora, at Pacific Beachcomber’s Intercontinental Bora Bora Le Moana, Windstar presently offers one-night overwater bungalow stays as an additional excursion for guests to book mid-cruise when overnighting on the island. Guests disembark from the ship and are whisked away to a romantic, overwater bungalow for the night – fulfilling a bucket list wish for many visiting Tahiti.
