Scarlet Lady Gets a Glow-Up

Scarlet Lady Set for a Stunning Transformation this Autumn

Virgin Voyages First Ladyship, Scarlet Lady to be refreshed.

While Scarlet Lady will always be the First Lady of Virgin Voyages’ fleet, the ship, which earned a coveted spot on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Gold List, is preparing for an exciting upgrade. Virgin Voyages’ inaugural vessel is heading into dry dock from 14th-28th November for a series of stylish enhancements after several successful seasons at sea.

Since her debut in 2021, Scarlet Lady has welcomed hundreds of thousands of Sailors on board, delivering exceptional holidays with her signature blend of adventure and luxury. Nicole Huang, VP of Fleet Experience, expressed the brand’s commitment to evolving the experience based on Sailor feedback: “We’re listening and giving travellers more of what they’ve asked for – this includes more suites, luxe new cabanas, and fresh, vibey dining concepts – so Sailors can truly live the life of a rockstar.”

Upgraded Dining and New Culinary Concepts

Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle

Scarlet Lady’s iconic experiences—such as the wildly popular Scarlet Night, award-winning dining, and spectacular acrobatics—remain, but her dining options are getting a glow-up. Razzle Dazzle, known for its bold interiors and veggie-forward brunch menu, will introduce a new evening concept that adds a captivating nighttime ambience.

In addition to this, a brand-new concept called Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle will bring a daring, Chinese-inspired menu to the ship, featuring creative craft cocktails. The revamped space will swap communal tables for intimate, lounge-style booths, offering a chic, elevated dining experience at sea.

More RockStar Quarters for a Rockstar Life

Responding to high demand for its exclusive suite categories, Virgin Voyages is converting several Sea Terrace cabins on Deck 11 into 24 “Seriously Suite” RockStar Quarters. These 352-square-foot suites come with a European king bed, glamorous vanity, stocked bar, and the brand’s iconic Yellow Leaf hammock.

“We designed the RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters with Tom Dixon to create a one-of-a-kind experience. With demand skyrocketing—some suites are booked a year in advance—we’re adding more so that even more Sailors can enjoy the rockstar life,” Huang explained.

Cabanas, Coffee Bars, and Casino Enhancements

On deck, Scarlet Lady will feature luxurious VIP cabanas with white curtains and daybeds at the Aquatic Club, offering the perfect spot for Sailors to unwind in style. These cabanas can be reserved individually or grouped for celebrations, enhancing the exclusive atmosphere.

The popular Ground Club Too coffee bar, located in The Galley, will transform by night into a full-service bar, offering an intimate lounge atmosphere with elevated cocktails. This new dual-purpose space will feature stylish emerald benches, rust-coloured couches, and wood-slatted accents, making it a sophisticated hangout after dark.

Further enhancing the entertainment options, Scarlet Lady’s non-smoking casino will expand, adding additional slot machines and creating exclusive areas for high-stakes players.

Spa and Wellness Updates

For those seeking relaxation, the renowned Redemption Spa will introduce a new couples treatment room, offering an indulgent escape for duos. While most of the spa’s offerings—such as the Thermal Suite with its heated quartz beds, mud room, and sauna—will remain unchanged, the new addition will enhance the spa’s appeal for Sailors seeking total rejuvenation.

Finally, Scarlet Lady’s signature bow will feature a new mermaid, symbolising strength and safe passage as she embarks on her next adventures.

Upcoming Caribbean Voyages

Following her renovation, Scarlet Lady will embark on a 16-night transatlantic voyage from Rome to Miami, where she’ll begin a series of long Caribbean itineraries. Sailors can choose from the six-night Western Caribbean Charm or the eight-night Eastern Caribbean Antilles, with destinations such as St. Croix, Costa Maya, Roatán, San Juan, and Bimini.

Every voyage includes a stop at Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club in the Bahamas, known for its stunning white sands, serene pools, and unforgettable floatilla parties.

To experience Scarlet Lady’s newly enhanced interiors and book a long Caribbean voyage, visit Virgin Voyages or contact your First Mate. Cabins start from $1,790 USD (around £1350).
