She’s bold. She’s brimming with attitude. And yes - she’s fashionably late (but worth the wait). Meet Brilliant Lady - the fourth and final ship in the Virgin Voyages Lady Ship quartet - ready to dazzle seas (and Sailors) from September 2025.

If you thought you knew Virgin Voyages, think again. Brilliant Lady is about to turn the tide, stretch horizons and sail further, deeper and a whole lot sassier than ever before.

Virgin Voyages doesn’t do boring, and Brilliant Lady - the fourth and final ship in the line’s grown-up fleet - is no exception. Launching September 2025, she’s bringing serious main character energy with a globe-hopping itinerary, new entertainment, and some clever enhancements designed to dial up the drama. If the other Lady Ships are anything to go by, Brilliant is going to be bold, brash and bursting with personality - just the way Sailors like it.

Here’s everything we know so far about Virgin’s brilliant new arrival.

Most well-travelled yet

While Scarlet, Valiant and Resilient have so far stuck to the Med and the Caribbean, Brilliant is breaking boundaries. She’s been purpose-built for versatility, meaning she can transit the Panama Canal and sail up to Alaska.

The inaugural season runs from September 2025 to September 2026 and includes:

  • New York (Sept–Oct 2025): Think city-meets-cruise with 5-10- night itineraries taking in Bermuda, Boston, Maine, Halifax and Quebec City

  • Miami (Oct 2025–April 2026): Caribbean escapes to places like Aruba, Curaçao, Grand Cayman and - for the first time - Ocho Rios, Jamaica

  • Panama Canal (March 2026): A 16-night repositioning voyage from Miami to LA via Colombia, Costa Rica and Guatemala

  • Los Angeles (April–May 2026): Short and sweet West Coast sailings down to Mexico with calls at Puerto Vallarta and Cabo

  • Seattle and Alaska (May–Sept 2026): Glacier gazing, whale watching and wilderness adventures - Virgin style

In short: new ports, longer sailings, and the chance to toast Virgin bubbles while cruising past an iceberg.

Seven brand new shows

New Entertainment Vibe on Brilliant Lady. Image: Virgin Voyages

Virgin is known for its edgy, immersive entertainment, and Brilliant Lady comes armed with a whole new line-up. Seven new shows will debut onboard, including:

  • Red Hot - a high-energy jukebox musical celebrating Virgin Records’ rebellious roots

  • Murder in the Manor - part theatre, part murder mystery dinner party

  • Up With a Twist - a jazzy supper-club show with a roaring ‘20s vibe

  • Out of Time - time travel meets circus acts, obviously

  • Disco Reimagined - a Studio 54-style fever dream with glow-sticks and aerialists

Fan-favourites like Duel Reality and Scarlet Night are returning with a few tweaks, including a cold-weather-friendly indoor version of Scarlet Night’s famous pool party.

The Lady’s got upgrades

From the outside, Brilliant Lady shares the same sleek lines and iconic red livery as her sisters, but there are some clever tweaks beneath the surface. Cabins have been subtly reworked for better flow and comfort (yes, the signature hammock stays), and she’ll feature the same signature venues including The Dock, The Manor and the Redemption Spa.

Dining will follow the Virgin formula: more than 20 small, included eateries instead of one big dining room or buffet. From Korean BBQ at Gunbae to upmarket Italian at Extra Virgin, it’s all in, and all included. New to Brilliant Lady is Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, an innovative Spanish-inspired restaurant.

Tech-wise, Brilliant Lady will be the first Virgin ship fitted with SES Cruise mPOWERED + Starlink PRO internet, promising super-fast, low-latency Wi-Fi wherever she roams.

Built for the future

Brilliant Lady is also the greenest ship in the fleet - not in colour, but in credentials. She features waste-reducing systems, advanced heat recovery, and hull design for greater efficiency. Single-use plastics are still banned, and solar panels help power life on board.

The launch

Brilliant Lady’s maiden voyage is set to sail from New York on 5 September 2025 - a five-night escape to Bermuda that’s already turning heads. Bookings are open now through Virgin Voyages and travel agents (First Mates), and if you’re a Virgin Red member, there are perks to be had.

It’s been a long wait - delays at the shipyard saw her original debut pushed from late 2023 - but this one looks like it’ll be worth it. With new destinations, new shows and new tech, Brilliant Lady is shaping up to be the most ambitious Lady yet.
