Crystal Reveals the Name of Its First New Ocean Ship in 25 Years: Crystal Grace
Crystal has officially unveiled the name of its brand-new ocean ship - Crystal Grace, the line’s first new build in a quarter of a century and the first under parent company Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group (AKTG). Set to usher in a new era for the luxury cruise brand, Crystal Grace will debut in May 2028 before embarking on her inaugural voyage on 11 June 2028.
This milestone marks a bold evolution of the Crystal experience: one that blends the line’s legendary service and refined aesthetic with fresh innovation, world-class design and the brand’s most spacious onboard offering yet.
A Digital Tease Before the Reveal
Ahead of the announcement, Crystal invited fans to play along with a digital word game shared across its social channels. Followers were encouraged to guess the ship’s name themselves, generating excitement ahead of today’s reveal.

The choice of the name Grace speaks to the ship’s serene design language, her seamless onboard flow and the graceful way Crystal ships explore the world’s most remarkable destinations.
What to Expect Onboard Crystal Grace
Designed for 650 guests (based on double occupancy) and coming in at 61,800 gross tons, Crystal Grace will deliver all-suite accommodations, expansive public spaces and an elevated entertainment programme.
Foodies, in particular, have plenty to look forward to. The ship will feature:
Umi Uma® – the only Nobu restaurant at sea
Beefbar – the only one at sea
Osteria d’Ovidio – with menus created by the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers
All speciality dining included in the voyage fare
In a nod to Crystal’s heritage, Grace will also boast a full-wrap promenade – a rarity in modern ship design – offering an ideal setting for sunrise strolls and sunset laps.
Crystal will continue to maintain one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in the industry, preserving the personalised service that has earned the brand countless awards over its 30-year history.

What Happens Next
Crystal will reveal full suite categories in December, followed by additional updates on her design, experiences and inaugural voyages in the coming months.
The 2028 inaugural season will go on sale in April 2026, with the waitlist opening soon.
