All you need to know about Restaurants & Dining Across the Virgin Voyages Fleet

Imagine booking a luxury cruise and never once seeing a lukewarm buffet line, a forced formal night dress code, or a surprise $100 specialty dining charge on your final bill. Welcome to Virgin Voyages - the cruise line that completely reinvented food at sea. With over 20+ uniquely themed, Michelin-star-inspired eateries completely included in your cruise fare, navigating the food scene onboard can feel wonderfully overwhelming.

Whether you are trying to score a coveted table at The Wake, master the interactive drinking games at Gunbae, or hunt down the best late-night eats in The Galley, this complete fleet-wide dining guide breaks down every single restaurant, hidden menu secret, and booking hack you need to maximize your voyage.

Virgin Voyages Dining Guide (Fleet Overview)

Virgin Voyages has redefined cruise dining with a fully flexible, restaurant-led concept that removes traditional buffets and main dining rooms in favour of immersive, standalone venues. Across the fleet, guests can choose from a wide range of included restaurants, from steakhouses and Italian trattorias to modern Mexican, Korean BBQ and experimental tasting menus, all designed to feel more like dining in a major city than on a cruise ship.

This guide covers every restaurant across the Virgin Voyages fleet, how dining actually works onboard, what is included in your fare, and how the experience differs between Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady. It also includes a ship selector to help you choose the right vessel, plus links to detailed restaurant and ship guides for deeper planning.

Whether you are planning your first sailing or comparing ships, this is the complete overview of Virgin Voyages dining in 2026.

Below is an infographic you might want to save showing all the restaurants/dining venues across the whole Virgin Voyages fleet, whichever Ladyship you sail on (Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady or Brilliant Lady:

Virgin Voyages Fleet: Which Ship Should You Sail On?

Virgin Voyages operates four “Lady Ships” that share the same core dining and entertainment concept, but sail different global itineraries that change throughout the year.

Rather than being permanently assigned to specific regions, each ship is deployed seasonally across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and repositioning routes depending on demand and scheduling.

  • Scarlet Lady – Caribbean and European seasonal sailings

  • Valiant Lady – Mediterranean and Caribbean rotations depending on season

  • Resilient Lady – Europe, Caribbean and repositioning itineraries across multiple regions

  • Brilliant Lady – newest ship, operating a mix of North American, Caribbean and global itineraries

All ships offer the same core dining venues and onboard experience, with differences driven more by deployment schedule and refurbishment timing than by ship design.

🔴 Scarlet Lady

The first and original ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet.

  • First Virgin Voyages vessel to enter service

  • Operates a range of itineraries depending on season

  • Shares the same core dining and entertainment venues as the rest of the fleet

  • Acts as the original reference point for the Virgin Voyages onboard concept

🟣 Valiant Lady

Second ship in the fleet.

  • Shares the same core dining and entertainment layout as all Virgin Voyages ships

  • Operates itineraries in different regions depending on seasonal deployment

  • Has undergone venue updates including the introduction of new dining concepts in the Razzle Dazzle space (e.g. Ariya from 2026).

🔵 Resilient Lady

Third ship in the fleet.

  • Part of the same fleet-wide design and dining concept

  • Operates itineraries across multiple regions depending on seasonal scheduling

  • Includes the same core restaurant lineup as the rest of the fleet

⚪ Brilliant Lady

Newest ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet.

  • Latest addition to the fleet

  • Built on the same core Virgin Voyages dining and entertainment model

  • Deploys on a mix of itineraries depending on operational scheduling

📌 Key Fleet Insight

All four Virgin Voyages ships share:

  • The same core dining philosophy (no main dining room, no traditional buffet)

  • A consistent set of signature restaurants across the fleet (with occasional venue evolution)

  • A rotating deployment schedule that changes throughout the year

Differences between ships are not structural but are instead driven by:

  • Launch order

  • Refurbishment timing

  • Regional deployment schedules

Virgin Voyages Dining Overview

All Virgin Voyages ladyships share these core dining principles:

  1. No Buffet Lines - There are no buffet restaurants onboard Virgin Voyages ships. Food is prepared fresh and to order.

  2. Michelin-Starred Chefs - Virgin Voyages commissioned world class chefs to design the Virgin Voyages’ menus

  3. 24 Hour Dining/Room Service - The Galley has options 24/7 and you can order in your cabin from the Ship Easts menu. Note there is a $10 cover charge for room service.

  4. Restaurant Reservations - The main restaurants can be booked on the Virgin Voyages App from 45 days before embarkation and once onboard.

  5. No Additonal-Fee Specialty Restaurants – Sailors can go to any of the 20 plus restaurants on board and not pay any cover charge, although each venue will offer a few Premium menu items for a small supplement.

  6. Dietary Needs/Food Allergies - Speak to crew who will try to accommodate any special dietary needs you have. Worth noting, however, Virgin Voyages’ kitchens are not allergen-free environments.

  7. Non-alcoholic Beverages Included – unlike many other cruise lines, fresh juices, soda, and some premium coffees are included in the cruise fare.

  8. No drink packages – Virgin Voyages doesn’t currently have a drink package. They do have the option to pre-pay for drinks at a discount using Bar Tab, but there is no unlimited drink option on Virgin Voyages’ sailings.

You won’t find extra cost select specialist add-on dining venues with Virgin Voyages - ALL restaurants are special, and they are ALL free. You won’t find a buffet onboard a Virgin Voyages ship either - no such cruising cliche; but don’t worry you won’t go hungry with so many fabulous eateries on the ship.

The only exception are certain optional immersive, supper-club style cabaret experiences which include food, entertainment, and alcoholic beverages.

What restaurants are onboard Virgin Voyages lady ships?

There are over 20 places to indulge your tastebuds included in the price of your Virgin Voyage, you will find everything you need to satisfy the most voracious of appetites. In this post I introduce all of the restaurants across the entire Virgin Voyages fleet.

Whether your style is scoff and off, leisurely chilled dining, or lively eats with friends, there is something to suit the mood.  Don't expect buffets and main dining rooms however - it's more a "Soho by the sea" vibe with The Galley providing food-truck inspired options for quick snackage, 24 hour room service for when you get the munchies, and a belly-full of cool restaurants to tempt you.  Whatever you choose you just know it will have the Virgin injection of taste, style and innovation.

Where available I include sample menus, but these are periodically updated so they are indicative only. The same menus generally apply across the fleet.

How Do You Make A Restaurant Reservation on Virgin Voyages?

It is advisable to book your preferred restaurants in advance of boarding to avoid disappointment (not necessary for casual eateries). Reservations can be made via the Virgin Voyages Sailor App or through a travel agent starting 45 days before departure, (if you have booked in Mega RockStar and RockStar Quarters will have the ability to book starting 60 days before). Worth noting that initially guests can only book each restaurant one per voyage, although there may be capacity once on board so worth checking.

When booking it is worth also checking the entertainment listings so you can choose to dine around any shows you want to enjoy.

What Drinks Are Included on a Virgin Voyages Cruise?

Sip Champagne Bar - Image: Cruise Lowdown

Alcoholic drinks are not included in your fare, although they are very fairly priced. However you won’t go thirsty - you can stay hydrated with still and sparkling water, non-pressed juices, sodas, teas and coffee. Virgin Voyages don’t offer drinks packages, but you can set up a pre-paid bar tab.

What is Virgin Voyages Bar Tab?

The Bar Tab on Virgin Voyages is a non-refundable onboard credit that’s able to be spent on premium beverages all around the ship and at The Virgin Voyages Beach Club at Bimini. There are often bar tab booking offers, such as for every $300 pre-purchased for your Bar Tab, you receive a bonus of $50 - offers vary.

Unlike some other cruise lines, you can use your bar tab to buy drinks for whoever you wish, and not everyone in your cabin has to have their own bar tab. So if you are sailing with a cruise-buddy for example, you could pool resources and get one bar tab to use for both of you. The Bar Tab can be used in every bar/restaurant on Virgin Voyages.

How Much Are Drinks on a Virgin Voyage?

Virgin Voyages have listened to guests (sailors) who wanted a clear drinks pricing policy, and drinks are reasonably priced. Drinks prices on board are transparent and uncomplicated and include tips:

Bottled beer (e.g. Heineken, Amstel etc.) costs from $6-$9

Cocktails & Mixed Drinks: $10-$15

Spirits with a free mixer average about $8-$9

Beer & Cider: $6-$9

Wine by the Glass: $9-$14

Specialty Coffee & Juices: $4-$9(including those made with well-known spirits like Tanqueray/Jack Daniels etc) $9

Champagne: By the glass (non-vintage): $21.

Bottle of Moët & Chandon: (using App to Shake to Order) $95 (expensive, but it will come in a red Champagne bucket).

Are there Vegan/Vegetarian Options on Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady?

Whilst you will find vegetarian and some vegan options clearly marked on most of the restaurant menus, Razzle Dazzle is has the widest Vegan/Vegetarian choice with an exciting Plant-based menu.

Gluten-Free on Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady

You are advised to notify the wait staff if you have any dietary requirements, which is of course worth doing. However, menus usually have clear GF marking against dishes. Others that look gluten-free but not marked as such may have gluten in a sauce so beware. The best restaurant choice for my gluten free buddies would appear to be Pink Agave where every menu item is marked up GF - including elusive desserts. All menus clearly state that the kitchens on Valiant Lady are not allergen free so if you have severe allergies you may wish to take this into account

VIRGIN VOYAGES RESTAURANTS

Whichever Ladyships you choose, the restaurants, locations and menus are largely the same. Here is an overview of what you can expect.

The Wake (Deck 6 Aft Entrance Deck 7 )

Refined Steak & Seafood

Brunch 8 am-1 pm Dinner 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Wake

Overview

The Wake is Virgin Voyages’ signature steak and seafood restaurant, inspired by classic New York and Chicago chophouses. Elegant without feeling overly formal, it serves premium steaks, sustainably sourced seafood and indulgent desserts, alongside one of the fleet’s most popular sea-day brunches.

Available On

All four Lady Ships:

  • Scarlet Lady

  • Valiant Lady

  • Resilient Lady

  • Brilliant Lady

Highlights

  • Premium steak and seafood

  • Delicious brunch

  • Elegant aft location with panoramic wake views

  • Extensive wine list and classic cocktails

The Wake offers steaks and seafood in a fabulous mid-twentieth century chop-house atmosphere, together with a raw bar (supplement) - a sort of posh surf and turf.  With table-side drink cart service (our mixologist created a fabulous martini), and champagne poured by the glass from a magnum bottle, every meal is a celebration (although alcoholic drinks are not included).

Cruise Lowdown Review

I’ve dined in The Wake on Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, and most recently, Resilient Lady and I have to say the food was awesome. This is contemporary fine dining at its best, in intimate and fancy surroundings, with an elegant staircase, chandelier, and even a grand piano (Scarlet Lady). Although situated on Deck 6, The Wake the entrance is aft on Deck 7 (rear of The Dock House) and down via the fabulous staircase.

I enjoyed a fine razor-clam chowder, followed by the tenderest filet mignon I’ve ever sampled. We also dined here at breakfast when they offer a delicious brunch menu. You can even add a Bottomless Brunch drink option.

Example Menus - The Wake

Razzle Dazzle (Deck 5 Mid-Aft Portside)

Plant-Based with Non-Veggie Options

Breakfast 7-9:30 am, Lunch 11:30 am - 2 pm. Dinner (Resiient Lady only) 6-9:30 pm.

Razzle Dazzle and the Fleet’s New Dining Concepts

Overview

The colourful Razzle Dazzle venue has evolved into four distinct dining experiences across the Virgin Voyages fleet. While breakfast and brunch continue to be served in the same vibrant setting, each ship now offers its own exclusive evening restaurant.

Available On

Resilient Lady - Original Razzle Dazzle

Valiant Lady - Ariya by Razzle Dazzle

Scarlet Lady - Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle

Brilliant Lady - Rojo by Razzle Dazzle

Highlights

Razzle Dazzle – Plant-forward dishes alongside indulgent comfort food.

Ariya – Contemporary Indian cuisine developed with chef Maneet Chauhan.

Lucky Lotus – Modern Chinese-inspired dining with bold regional flavours.

Rojo – Spanish-inspired sharing plates and tapas.

This is now the biggest restaurant difference between the four Lady Ships.

Razzle Dazzle

The original Razzle Dazzle concept was vegetarian/vegan forward with some meat dishes. This has evolved to be more mainstream but with lots of inventive and colourful dishes. It offers vibrant and creative twists on a contemporary American menu plus juice bar.  With the “nice” menu offering vegetarian and vegan versions of classic dishes such as the Impossible Burger, even meat-eaters might be tempted.

Virgin Voyages features a famous Drag Brunch which takes place in Razzle Dazzle twice per voyage, hosted by the resident drag performer and friends.

Cruise Lowdown Review

Razzle Dazzle is one of the few restaurants open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - and I’ve sampled each. The Razzle Dazzle breakfast has the crispiest bacon and the psychedelic Fairy Toast was my secret passion (but missing off the menu on my recent Resilient Lady). My tip - be adventurous and try something new.

The Impossible Burger - can’t believe it’s plant-based! NICE! Image Credit: Virgin Voyages

New for 2026 Ariya by Razzle Dazzle

Overview

Ariya by Razzle Dazzle is Virgin Voyages’ contemporary Indian dining concept, created in partnership with award-winning chef Maneet Chauhan. Introduced as part of Valiant Lady’s 2026 dining refresh, the restaurant showcases regional Indian flavours with a modern twist, combining traditional recipes with innovative presentation.

New! Ariya by Razzle Dazzle can be found on Valiant Lady only. Image: Virgin Voyages

Available On

Valiant Lady only

Highlights

  • Contemporary Indian cuisine

  • Created with chef Maneet Chauhan

  • Bold regional flavours and aromatic spices

  • Designed for sharing and discovering new dishes

  • Replaces the former Razzle Dazzle dinner menu while breakfast and brunch continue in the same venue

Ariya is currently exclusive to Valiant Lady, making it one of the fleet’s most distinctive dining experiences.

The menu showcases regional Indian cuisine from across the country rather than focusing on a single style. Every dinner begins with a complimentary jaljeera, a refreshing palate-cleansing drink made with tamarind, cumin and fresh herbs.

Menu Highlights

2026 Update: I’m currently sourcing the latest Ariya menus following Valiant Lady’s refurbishment. These will be added as soon as they’re available. Dishes include small plates (e.g Malabar Coconut Crab Cake, Puffed Rice & Avocado Chaat); signature mains (e.g Lamb Shank Biryani with saffron basmati rice, Regional curries and vegetarian specialities; and Desserts Such as Gulab Jamun Stuffed Cheesecake or Kulfi Trio featuring saffron, rose and pistachio flavours

The cocktail menu is equally inventive, featuring ingredients including saffron, cardamom, rose, tamarind and jaggery.

Traditional chai service, Indian-inspired lassis, selected Indian beers and premium wines are also available.

Cruise Lowdown Review

At the time of updating this article, I have yet to sample Ariya but will be doing so in the near future, when I’ll give my honest take.

Ariya represents one of the biggest dining changes Virgin Voyages has introduced since launching its fleet. Rather than simply adding another speciality restaurant, it brings authentic regional Indian cuisine to sea in a stylish, contemporary setting that feels distinctly different from every other restaurant on board. If you enjoy bold flavours, fragrant spices and sharing plates, Ariya deserves a place at the top of your reservation list.

Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle

Overview

Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle brings a fresh Chinese-inspired dining concept to Scarlet Lady. Reimagining the former Razzle Dazzle dinner service, the restaurant celebrates regional Chinese flavours with contemporary presentation, vibrant interiors and a menu designed for sharing.

Available On

Scarlet Lady only

Highlights

  • Modern Chinese-inspired cuisine

  • Regional dishes with a contemporary twist

  • Sharing plates designed for the table

  • Exclusive to Scarlet Lady

  • Served in the former Razzle Dazzle restaurant during dinner

Lucky Lotus adds another unique dining experience to the Virgin Voyages fleet, giving Scarlet Lady its own culinary identity while retaining the venue’s popular breakfast and brunch service.

Rojo by Razzle Dazzle

Overview

Rojo by Razzle Dazzle is Brilliant Lady’s exclusive evening restaurant, inspired by the vibrant flavours of Spain. The menu focuses on tapas, grilled specialities and regional dishes designed for sharing, bringing a relaxed Mediterranean dining style to the fleet.

Available On

Brilliant Lady only

  • Tapas and sharing plates

  • Mediterranean flavours

  • Exclusive to Brilliant Lady

  • Replaces the former Razzle Dazzle dinner concept while breakfast and brunch remain available

Cruise Lowdown Thoughts

Rojo gives Brilliant Lady its own distinctive culinary personality and continues Virgin Voyages’ move towards offering unique dining concepts across the fleet.

The Test Kitchen (Deck 6 Mid-aft Portside)

Cooking Lab

Dinner 6-10 pm

Test Kitchen

Overview

Test Kitchen is Virgin Voyages’ experimental tasting menu restaurant, where ingredients, techniques and presentation take centre stage. Menus evolve over time, encouraging guests to experience something different on repeat sailings.

Available On

All four Lady Ships - Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady.

Highlights

  • Multi-course tasting menu

  • Innovative culinary techniques

  • Optional beverage pairings

  • Ever-changing seasonal menus

Test Kitchen is best suited to adventurous diners looking for a unique culinary experience.

Cruise Lowdown Review

More of an experience than a restaurant, this laboratory-like eatery makes it the ultimate chance for discovery through food. It is a social experience, in a very hands on eatery. The Test Kitchen offers a six course tasting menu with only a list of ingredients provided to guests before they dine and their meal is put in the hands of the chef to deliver incredible cuisine. There is also a choice of four optional drinks pairings to accompany each course (beer, wine, cocktails or non-alcoholic) at an additional cost ($30-$45).

You need to be open-minded as some ingredients may be strange to you (e,g eel). Also, don’t wait till you are famished as it takes a while to prepare each cooked-to-order course, and portions are tiny. However it is a feast for the eyes and with stunning flavours.

Example Menu - Test Kitchen

Pink Agave (Deck 5 Mid-Aft Starboard)

Posh Mexican (Gluten Free)

Dinner 6:30 pm-10:30 pm

Pink Agave

Overview

Pink Agave brings together contemporary Mexican cuisine with bold flavours, premium tequilas and inventive cocktails. Designed around sharing plates, it’s one of Virgin Voyages’ liveliest evening dining experiences.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

  • Modern Mexican cuisine

  • Extensive tequila and mezcal selection

  • Colourful interiors

  • Sharing dishes ideal for groupsPink Agave remains one of the fleet’s most popular dinner reservations.

This popular upscale Mexican restaurant, serving only gluten free ingredients, is accessed through a stunning light portal, offering guests an extra dimension to their dining experience. Offering a wide variety of contemporary Mexican specialties that inspire you to discover authentic Mexican flavours including tlayudas, memelas, sopes, tortas, esquires, tamales served as small, medium and large plates, and an expansive array of smoky mezcals.

Cruise Lowdown Review

Spicy-nicey - although some dishes could have been spicier for my palate! That said, the food was really delicious and the servers happily explained unfamiliar dishes. Why not grab a pre-dinner margarita from the Mezcal Bar for a very lively start to your evening?

Example Menu - Pink Agave

Gunbae (Deck 15 Aft Portside)

Korean Style BBQ

Dinner 5:30-10 pm

Gunbae

Overview

Gunbae is the world’s first Korean barbecue restaurant at sea, combining tabletop grilling with a lively social dining experience. Guests cook marinated meats, seafood and vegetables at built-in grills while enjoying Korean-inspired drinks and games.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

  • Korean barbecue

  • Interactive dining

  • Shared tables

  • Korean drinks and cocktails

It’s one of the most distinctive restaurant concepts found on any cruise line.

Cruise Lowdown Review

If you love BBQ and drinking games then you won’t want to miss this one.

This was one of my favourite experiences onboard. A social, hands on, interactive, fun dining experience, Gunbae features specially engineered flameless grills built into each table so you can grill meats to your preference, probably the loudest eatery on board, each meal beginning with a complimentary round of *soju for the table and throughout the evening you are encouraged to take part in lively Korean drinking games.

*A clear Korean alcoholic spirit - not a card game as I’d thought. 🤷‍♀️

Tip: Allow a whole evening for you visit!

Example Menu - Gunbae

Extra Virgin (Deck 6 Mid-Aft Starboard)

Classy Italian

Dinner 6-10 pm

Extra Virgin

Overview

Extra Virgin celebrates regional Italian cuisine with freshly made pasta, antipasti, seafood and hand-crafted desserts. Designed as a modern trattoria, the menu encourages sharing and leisurely meals rather than rushed dining.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

  • Handmade pasta prepared daily

  • Italian wines and aperitifs

  • Fresh burrata and antipasti

  • Relaxed, sociable atmosphere

Each ship offers the same core dining concept while providing its own onboard atmosphere.

Cruise Lowdown Review

Extra Virgin is Virgin Voyages’ trattoria serving regionally-inspired food, deeply rooted in Italian culinary traditions. The space features communal tables (or closely spaced tables for two) and a private dining room, inspired to be a mobster’s lair.

With a choice of 30 dishes, the Extra Virgin menu offers a range of antipasto dishes accompanied by a charcuterie board; a choice of four-five main course options, (meat, fish and vegetarian); plus a choice of six pasta dishes - you can mix and match depending on your appetite. There is a choice of three desserts plus a tableside *affogato trolley (delicious!).
*Affogato is literally ice cream “drowned” in espresso coffee.

Portions are hearty and I know we ordered too much but it was so good - fabulous carbonara.

Extra Virgin is open for dinner only,

Tip: Leave plenty of time if you are eating before a show as it’s multi coursed and shouldn’t be rushed.

Example Menu - Extra Virgin

The Galley (Deck 16 Midships/Aft Port/Starboard)

Food court

Open 24 Hours

Firstly, The Galley is NOT a buffet - anything but. However you will be faced with lots of different cuisines to tempt you. This stylish food hall will feature a mix of more than eight shops and food carts, including the following:

The Galley

Overview

Replacing the traditional cruise buffet, The Galley is a modern food hall featuring multiple made-to-order food stations serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks in a relaxed setting.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

Food stations include:

  • Diner & Dash

  • The Bakery

  • Bento Baby

  • Burger Bar

  • Hot Off the Press

  • Let’s Taco ’Bout It

  • Noodle Around

  • Daily Mix

  • Sweet Side

Cruise Lowdown Review

Food is freshly prepared rather than left under heat lamps, creating a very different experience from a conventional cruise buffet.

I tried food from each of the stations at different times of day - and enjoyed every bite. I particularly liked the tacos and the morning bento box full of fresh berries. I did tend to go round station to station to make up a meal, but you can order from your table. Check out the dish of the day at Diner & Dash.

The Dock & Dock House (Deck 7 Aft)

Casual Mediterranean/Meze

The Dock & Dock House

Overview

Inspired by Mediterranean beach clubs, The Dock and The Dock House offer complimentary mezze-style dishes alongside relaxed indoor and outdoor seating. It’s one of the fleet’s most peaceful places to enjoy a light meal or afternoon snack.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

  • Complimentary small plates

  • Mediterranean-inspired flavours

  • Indoor and outdoor seating

  • Popular sail-away location

Many guests overlook this venue, making it one of Virgin Voyages’ hidden dining gems.

Cruise Lowdown Review

If, like me, you get peckish whilst sunbathing, but hate to leave the rays, then The Dock House is just the place to refuel alfresco in style. The Dock has the same menu as the indoor Dock House, so you can enjoy your alfresco casual Mediterranean/Meze and kebabs out in the sunshine, without fear of missing out.

I loved being able to snack on delicious small plates whilst listening to live acoustic music in the sun.

Example Menu - The Dock House

The Pizza Place (Deck 7 Midships Portside)

Casual Pizza Parlour

Lunch 11:30 am - 6:30 pm Dinner 9 pm - 1:30 am.

The Pizza Place. Image: Virgin Voyages

The Pizza Place

Overview

The Pizza Place serves freshly made, hand-stretched pizzas prepared to order using homemade dough and quality ingredients. Open throughout the day and into the evening, it’s a favourite for quick lunches and late-night snacks.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

  • Fresh dough prepared daily

  • Cooked to order

  • Vegetarian and meat options

  • Popular late-night venue

Cruise Lowdown Review

Don’t let the casual setting fool you - many guests rate The Pizza Place among the best complimentary pizzas at sea. The usual suspects are available plus some with the Virgin Viyages touch.

Tip: Instead of hanging around the counter, take your order buzzer down the hall - the signal strength reaches all the way inside The Manor nightclub,

Example Menu - The Pizza Place

  • The Classic (Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce) (V)

  • White Truffle & Egg (V)

  • Chicken Pesto (basil pesto, mozzarella, red onions fresh tomatoes)

  • Pretty Fly for a White Pie (Mozzarella, rocotta, parmesan, roasted garlic, oregano) (V)

  • Pepperoni (mozzarella, tomato sauce, pepperoni)

Grounds Club (Deck 7)

Grounds Club. Image: Virgin Voyages

Grounds Club & Grounds Club Too

Overview

Grounds Club is Virgin Voyages’ speciality coffee concept, serving barista-made espresso drinks, premium teas and freshly baked pastries throughout the day. Every Lady Ship features both the main Grounds Club café and Grounds Club Too, giving sailors two convenient places to enjoy quality coffee and light refreshments.

Available On

All four Lady Ships:

  • Scarlet Lady

  • Valiant Lady (Grounds Too doubles as a bar at night)

  • Resilient Lady

  • Brilliant Lady

Highlights

  • Two coffee venues on every ship

  • Barista-made coffees, including flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes and espresso

  • Premium teas and hot chocolate

  • Fresh pastries and grab-and-go breakfast options

  • Grounds Club Too is conveniently located within The Galley, making it ideal for combining a coffee stop with breakfast or lunch

The Grounds Club on Virgin Voyages, provide espresso-based specialty drinks for an extra cost, while the pastries and baked treats displayed alongside them are complimentary. Standard drip coffee and basic tea are complimentary in other areas of the ship, like The Galley

While both venues serve the same core drinks menu, Grounds Club offers the atmosphere of a dedicated café, whereas Grounds Club Too provides a more relaxed coffee stop within The Galley’s food hall environment. Whichever you choose, it’s a noticeable step up from the standard coffee available on many mainstream cruise lines.

Cruise Lowdown Review

Grounds Club Too often gets mistaken for a “second coffee shop”, but in reality it’s better described as an extension of The Galley. It’s more sociable, more flexible, and one of the most useful grab-and-go spots onboard once you know where it fits into the ship layout.

Specialty coffees at The Grounds Club generally cost between $3.00 and $6.00, depending on what you order and whether you want a single or double shot. A massive perk of Virgin Voyages is that you can use your Bar Tab to pay and gratuities are already built into these prices, so there are no surprise service charges tacked on at checkout

Lick Me Till Ice cream (Deck 7)

Retro Ice Cream SHOP

Served Daily 11:30 am - 10 pm

Lick Me Till… Ice Cream

Overview

Lick Me Till… Ice Cream is Virgin Voyages’ complimentary ice cream parlour, serving freshly made, hand-scooped ice cream throughout the day. Rather than traditional soft-serve machines, guests can choose from a rotating selection of ship-made flavours, including vegan options, served in cones or cups.

Available On

All four Lady Ships:

  • Scarlet Lady

  • Valiant Lady

  • Resilient Lady

  • Brilliant Lady

Highlights

  • Complimentary hand-scooped ice cream

  • Rotating daily and seasonal flavours

  • Choice of cones or cups

  • Open daily for afternoon and evening treats

Cruise Lowdown Review

Whether you’re cooling down after a day in the sun or satisfying a late-night sweet craving after pizza or a show, Lick Me Till… Ice Cream is one of Virgin Voyages’ most popular casual dining stops. Unlike many cruise lines, the ice cream is freshly made onboard, making it a small but memorable part of the overall dining experience. We tried various combos and loved every flavour.

The Social Club (Deck 7)

Carnival Fare/Soda fountain

Social Club Diner

Overview

Located alongside the Social Club games area, Social Club Diner serves classic American comfort food including hot dogs, pretzels and other casual favourites. It’s designed for quick, informal dining between onboard activities.

Available On

All four Lady Ships.

Highlights

  • Hot dogs

  • Pretzels

  • Perfect for quick bites

Its convenient location makes it an ideal stop before shows, trivia or an evening in The Manor.

Cruise Lowdown Review

A cool place to hang out during the day or evening, with bar games, indoor shuffle board, quizzes and more. All that fun can make you peckish so there is a hotdog menu plus you can grab some pretzels or savoury cracker jacks (for UK Sailors, its a mix of popcorn and nuts - of course Virgin Voyages’ take is a bit more sophisticated and extra delicious (obviously). You can also get floats and shakes at an extra cost.

Tip: They also serve complimentary sweet treats including gummy bears, Swedish Fish, saltwater taffy, and homemade marshmallow squares or fruity cereal bars. Just couldn’t resist stopping by when ever I passed by

Sun Club Café (Deck 16)

Daily 12-5

Sun Club Café

Overview

Tucked away on the upper deck, Sun Club Café is one of Virgin Voyages’ best-kept dining secrets. This relaxed outdoor venue specialises in fresh Hawaiian and Asian-inspired dishes, including poke bowls, bao buns and light snacks, making it an excellent choice for a healthier lunch or afternoon bite by the pool.

Available On

All four Lady Ships:

  • Brilliant Lady

Highlights

  • Hawaiian and Asian-inspired cuisine

  • Fresh poke bowls and bao buns

  • Outdoor seating with panoramic sea views

  • Convenient location near Richard’s Rooftop

  • Complimentary and included in your cruise fare

Cruise Lowdown Review

Many sailors walk straight past Sun Club Café without realising it’s there, but those who discover it often return several times during their voyage. If you’re looking for a lighter alternative to The Galley, it’s one of the fleet’s hidden culinary gems.

For my European readers, a poke (pronounced Poke-ay) bowl is a staple in the Hawaiian islands and usually consists of sliced (raw) fish or (cooked) chicken, with sticky rice, vegetables and sauces. The options in this cafe is Chicken, Beef, Tuna or Salmon which can be customised (vegetarian option available on request).

Tip: order the beef bar buns and enjoy a poke bowl for a more hearty lunch. You MUST order the firecracker popcorn - it was my favourite snack.

Top 10 Things Most Sailors Miss on Virgin Voyages

While the official menus across the fleet are spectacular, the real culinary magic happens when you know what to ask for behind the scenes. From secret meat dishes at plant-based venues to hidden late-night shortcuts, here are the best-kept restaurant secrets you won’t find in the official cruise brochure

Want to dine like a true rockstar? Step away from the standard menus and unlock these five brilliant, unadvertised culinary secrets scattered across the fleet:

  1. The Secret "Naughty" Menu at Razzle Dazzle

Razzle Dazzle is famous for its bright, veggie-forward, plant-based menu concepts. But if you ask your server for the unlisted, secret "Naughty Menu," you can unlock incredible, real-meat options like a premium double-patty smash burger with blue cheese, loaded bacon tater tots, or spicy butter chicken.

  2. Beach-Ready Lunch Boxes in The Galley
Don't pay for overpriced tourist food when exploring ports of call. Head to the entrances of The Galley to find the bento-style grab-and-go refrigerators. These complimentary boxes are freshly packed every morning with high-quality sushi rolls, charcuterie meats, cheese platters, and salads - and you are explicitly allowed to pack them off the ship for a free beach picnic.

  3. The Hidden Dessert Cart at The Dock House
While everyone flocks to the outdoor daybeds at The Dock for fresh flame-grilled octopus skewers, they completely overlook the indoor lounge area. Track down the rolling wooden dessert cart parked inside to treat yourself to unlisted daytime sweets, including gourmet shortbread cookies, rich tarts, and fresh lemon curd.

  4. The Late-Night Drinker's Advantage at Gunbae
If you want the ultimate Korean BBQ experience, book the absolute latest dinner slot of the night at Gunbae. Not only is the kitchen less rushed, but the signature kimchi stew has been simmering on the tabletop grills all evening, resulting in a significantly richer, deeper flavor than what the early-bird crowds get. Plus, the mandatory Soju drinking games are always livelier at midnight.

  5. The Long-Range Pizza Buzzer Trick
The custom, thin-crust personal pizzas at The Pizza Place are legendary, which means the wait times during the late-night rush can stretch past 20 minutes. Instead of hovering around the counter, take your order buzzer down the hall - the signal strength reaches all the way inside The Manor nightclub, letting you keep dancing until your fresh pizza is ready.

  6. The Late-Night "Noodle Around" Duck Ramen

The Noodle Around station inside The Galley serves great pork and veggie ramen during standard lunch and dinner hours. But if you visit after midnight during the late-night rush, ask the chefs for the off-menu late-night duck ramen or duck burger. It is a richer, savory alternative specifically prepped to satisfy late-night cravings after the clubs close.

  7. The Galley Fresh Cookie Window

If you walk into The Galley during the day, you will find standard pastries and cakes. However, at exactly 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM every night, the bakery station brings out batches of massive, warm, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies. They are not advertised on the digital menus, and a line forms quickly purely by word-of-mouth.

  8. The Test Kitchen "Substitutions" Loophole

The Test Kitchen’s molecular menu is fixed, which scares off picky eaters. However, if you do not like a specific course (such as the beef or the blue cheese), you don't have to skip it. You can ask your server for the unlisted alternative course options, which frequently include a delicious gazpacho with tomato sorbet or a refreshing orange sorbet palette cleanser.

  9. Extra Virgin’s Hidden Appetiser Hour

On select days, Extra Virgin hosts a first-come, first-served appetiser hour around 5:00 PM. You do not need a reservation; you can walk up to the bar and order from the full, fresh Italian antipasti menu.

  10. Ship Eats "App Hack" for Groups

Room service (Ship Eats) charges a flat $10.00 delivery fee per order. If you are traveling with a group or hanging out in one cabin, coordinate and place one massive, combined order on a single phone rather than ordering separately. Because it is a flat fee per delivery (not per item), you can feed an entire room full of people for just $10.00 total - or get it entirely waived by adding a single $4.00 craft beer or espresso to the order.

The Lowdown

If you are short on time, here is the quick-and-dirty summary of everything you need to know about dining across the Virgin Voyages fleet:

  • The Big Perks: All 20+ eateries are 100% complimentary and included in your cruise fare. There are no mandatory formal dress codes, no assigned table mates, and zero old-school cruise buffet lines.

  • The Only Extras: You will only pay out-of-pocket for alcoholic drinks, fresh-pressed juices, specialty barista coffees, premium "Treat Yourself" menu items (like caviar), or select ticketed cabaret shows like Another Rose.

  • The 2026 Fleet Shifts: Remember that evening menus have evolved! While breakfast and brunch stay the same, dinner formats vary by ship: Resilient keeps the original Razzle Dazzle dinner, Valiantfeatures Indian cuisine at Ariya, Scarlet hosts Lucky Lotus Chinese dining, and Brilliant serves Spanish tapas at Rojo.

  • The Booking Rule: Set an alarm for 45 days before your sail date (60 days for RockStar suites) to book your top choices on the app. If you miss out, don't panic—a large batch of tables opens up the exact second you log onto the ship’s Wi-Fi on embarkation day.

  • Late-Night Survival: The Galley’s Diner & Dash station and Ship Eats room service are available 24/7. Keep in mind room service carries a flat $10.00 delivery fee, but you can completely waive it by simply adding a single paid drink (like a craft beer or an espresso) to your order.

  • 6–8 night sailings: 2 reservations per restaurant.

  • 9+ night sailings: 3 reservations per restaurant

What happens if I miss my dining reservation?

Virgin Voyages does not charge a monetary penalty fee for missed dining reservations. However, restaurant space is tight, so tables are strictly held for only 15 minutes past the reservation time before being automatically given away to walk-in waitlists.

Is there a formal night or dress code?

There are no formal nights or strict dress codes. Virgin Voyages promotes a "resort casual" vibe. You are encouraged to dress up if you want to express your personal style, but jeans, t-shirts, and tailored shorts are widely accepted in all dining rooms.

Can you eat anytime you want?

Yes. Virgin Voyages features flexible dining with no set seating times or assigned tables. If you want a quick bite without a reservation, The Galley (food hall) and The Pizza Place are open exceptionally late (or 24/7) for walk-ups.

Can you get food 24/7 in The Galley?

Yes, but not every station stays open all night. While specific venues like the sushi or taco stations follow breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedules, the Diner & Dash station is open 24 hours a day serving all-day breakfast. The Burger Bar also routinely serves late-night cravings until 2:00 AM.

Can I order more than one entrée at a sit-down restaurant?

Yes. Even though the restaurants look and feel like expensive land-based upscale eateries, everything remains completely unlimited. If you cannot choose between two pasta dishes at Extra Virgin or want a second steak at The Wake, you can order as many appetisers, entrées, and desserts as you want at no extra cost.

Can I eat at a restaurant for lunch/brunch without a reservation?

Most signature restaurants onboard are strictly dinner-only venues. However, The Wake and Razzle Dazzle open for a highly rated sit-down brunch service on select days. Brunch slots fill up just as quickly as dinner, so reservations through the app are highly recommende.

Is it true there is no buffet?

Yes. Virgin Voyages completely eliminated the traditional cruise buffet. Instead, they created The Galley, a high-end food market featuring over eight distinct food stalls. Instead of standing in lines with a tray, you sit down, scan a QR code, and a waiter brings your fresh, made-to-order food directly to your table.

What are the grab-and-go boxes?

At the entrances of The Galley, you will find bento-style refrigerators filled with pre-packaged complimentary grab-and-go boxes. These are packed daily with fresh sushi rolls, charcuterie meats, fruit cups, salads, and pastries—perfect for taking back to your cabin hammock or off the ship on excursion days.

Is the ice cream free?

Yes. You can get unlimited complimentary scoops of ice cream at Lick Me Till Ice Cream on Deck 7. They rotate gourmet flavors daily, including vegan options, and serve them in red velvet or classic waffle cones.

Are there any hidden outdoor eating spots?

Yes. If you want to escape the crowded decks, head to the very back of the ship to find The Dock. It features daybeds overlooking the ocean and serves complimentary, fresh-off-the-grill Mediterranean small plates (like grilled octopus and hanger steak) that many cruisers entirely miss.

Is room service free on Virgin Voyages?

Room service, called Ship Eats, is available 24/7. The food itself is technically free, but a $10.00 delivery fee applies to each order. However, if you order an item that already costs money (like a beer or a premium espresso drink), the delivery fee is waived.

Do I have to share a table with strangers?

At almost all sit-down restaurants, you will be seated at your own private table. The only major exception is Gunbae (Korean BBQ), which features large circular booths with built-in tabletop grills. Since these grills are meant for group cooking, small parties of two or three are automatically grouped together to fill a 6-to-8-person table, turning dinner into a highly social, interactive drinking game experience.
