Celestyal Discovery embarked on her maiden voyage through the Aegean seas on March 22, 2024, introducing the cruise line’s fresh new livery. Departing from Lavrion, Athens, the ship, under the seasoned command of Captain Panagiotis Giakoumatos and his crew, welcomed guests aboard for an unforgettable inaugural journey.
Setting sail on the ‘Iconic Aegean’ itinerary, passengers aboard Celestyal Discovery will explore Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos Island, and Santorini, with stops at five ports during the three-night voyage. From March to November, the ship will alternate between this three-night route and a four-night ‘Iconic Aegean’ option, offering an extra day to explore the enchanting island of Rhodes.
Joining the fleet in November 2023, the 1266-guest Celestyal Discovery underwent extensive refurbishment, investing millions of Euros in enhancing onboard social spaces and refreshing staterooms. Notable additions include Café Nation, serving illy coffee, the Pizza Oven eatery, and the Discovery Lounge featuring exciting brand partnerships throughout the season.

The new livery of Celestyal Discovery boasts a contemporary update, featuring a cleaner Celestyal logo and wordmark, a distinctive blue wave hull symbolizing the forward motion of the company, the iconic Celestyal stars, and a unique funnel design accentuating the vessel’s elegant lines.

Looking ahead, Celestyal Journey is scheduled to receive her livery update in early 2025 during maintenance works in the Arabian Gulf, as she transitions to a year-round operation with a winter season homeporting from Doha, Qatar, from November 2024 to March 2025.
