Carnival Freedom’s Grand Return - A Fresh Look And A Distinctive Funnel

Carnival Freedom “Winged” It’s Way Back into Service

Carnival Freedom has made a triumphant return to the seas, showcasing its classic winged funnel as it greeted guests in Barcelona, Spain, embarking on a 14-day transatlantic journey to its homeport of Port Canaveral, Florida. The ship recently underwent a comprehensive makeover, including the introduction of the new funnel, the iconic Carnival red, white, and blue hull livery, and several other exciting enhancements.

Earlier this month, the 2,980-guest vessel underwent a 16-day dry dock at the Navantia Shipyard in Cadiz, Spain. The shipyard's dedicated team has contributed to various projects throughout the fleet, but this marks the first occasion they've designed and produced a Carnival funnel.

Among the ship's impressive upgrades is the newly inaugurated Heroes Tribute Bar, a concept expanding across the Carnival fleet, paying homage to military veterans and active-duty service members. Carnival Freedom now boasts a Dreams Studio, where guests can capture cherished memories with the assistance of Carnival's photography experts. Additional improvements include an expansion of the ship's casino, as well as enhancements to the staterooms and public areas.

Carnival Freedom's two-week transatlantic Carnival Journeys cruise from Spain treats guests to an unforgettable adventure with stops in Valencia, Malaga, and Las Palmas, Spain, along with Bermuda. Departing from Port Canaveral, the ship offers four and five-day sailings to destinations in the Bahamas like Nassau and Princess Cays, in addition to various Caribbean hotspots, including Grand Turk. The ship has also introduced exciting new itineraries, including voyages featuring Carnival's exclusive destination, Celebration Key, as a port of call commencing in 2025.
