Royal Caribbean Reveals Star of the Seas: The Ultimate Vacation Experience for Summer 2025
In an exciting announcement, Royal Caribbean International is setting the stage for the next revolution in cruise holidays with the introduction of Star of the Seas, the latest addition to the Icon Class lineup. Just under 100 days remain until this groundbreaking vacation experience takes centre stage, following the highly successful launch of Icon of the Seas.
Star of the Seas is poised to redefine the way we cruise by offering an unprecedented combination of holiday styles, making it a unique and exciting choice for travellers. From beach retreats to resort escapes and theme park adventures, Star of the Seas will seamlessly blend these experiences to cater to every type of family and adventurer, ensuring unforgettable memories without compromise.
Currently under construction in Turku, Finland, Star of the Seas promises a host of innovative features that will soon be unveiled to the world, setting new standards in vacation experiences.
Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, expressed his enthusiasm for this groundbreaking concept, stating, "The idea of combining the best of every type of vacation into one ultimate adventure has created more excitement than ever anticipated, and Star of the Seas will be the next bold answer to the record-breaking consumer demand we’ve seen for nearly a year and counting with Icon of the Seas."
The journey to Star of the Seas began with the unveiling of Icon and the Icon Class in October 2022. This initial introduction led to Royal Caribbean's single largest booking day and the highest volume booking week in the brand's 53-year history. Responding to this unprecedented demand, Royal Caribbean released vacations for the years 2025-2026 on Icon three months ahead of schedule, underscoring the anticipation surrounding this innovative cruise experience.
Icon of the Seas, the first ship in the Icon Class lineup, boasts impressive features, including six record-breaking waterslides at Thrill Island's Category 6 waterpark, seven pools – one for each day of the week, Surfside—a stay-all-day neighbourhood for young families, and an array of entertainment options spanning air, ice, water, and stage. With over 40 restaurant and bar options, Icon of the Seas is setting a new standard for cruise vacations.
Star of the Seas will also mark a significant environmental milestone as the cruise line's third ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). This environmentally friendly fuel, combined with a range of industry-leading environmental initiatives on board, makes Star of the Seas Royal Caribbean's most sustainable ship yet. It aligns with the broader mission of Royal Caribbean Group to introduce a net-zero emissions cruise ship by 2035. See Related Post Here.
