Virgin Voyages, the new lifestyle travel brand focused on delivering irresistible cruise vacations, debuted in the UK in 2021 with Scarlet Lady. Virgin Voyages is a breath of fresh air for the cruise industry, bringing as it does a truly contemporary vibe which will appeal to a much younger demographic who would not usually be drawn to a vacation at sea.
Valiant Lady was scheduled to operate her inaugural season in September 2021 from her homeport in Barcelona. However due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, in mid-December 2020 Virgin Voyages decided that they would reschedule, so Valiant Lady is now set to make her maiden voyage from the UK in March 2022.
Following the success of sister ship Scarlet Lady’s series of “Summer Soirées” last summer, Virgin Voyages chose Portsmouth in the U.K. for Valiant Lady’s debut.
Key Facts about Valiant Lady
Whilst full details will be available closer to her launch, here are some key facts as a little taster:
●Virgin Voyages’ first fleet is known as the “Lady Ships,” a play on the term ‘your ladyship,’giving a nod to Virgin’s British heritage.
● Valiant Lady is the second of four ships on order - the first being Scarlet Lady and the remainder (Resilient Lady) due later in 2022 and (yet-to-be-named) 2023.

● Like sister ship Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady will feature a glamorous new mermaid at the helm. Virgin Voyages’ leading ladies, its mermaids, are an important symbol for the brand and meant to keep Sailors safe on their voyage.
● 86 percent of Virgin Voyages cabins feature a balcony and 93 percent feature an ocean view.
● The Lady Ships are Adult-by-Design, serving as a sanctuary at sea for the 18+ traveller.
●In addition to her Maiden weekenders, Valiant Lady will sail seven-night Mediterranean itineraries when she debuts in 2022. These sailings will include four feature itineraries that all offer overnight and late night stops across some of the hottest destinations in France, Italy and Spain.
●Valiant Lady will have similar design features as her sister Scarlet Lady, designed as she is by the same fabulous, innovative design team.

All Virgin Voyages ships have been designed by a leading creative collective who are the brains behind some of the world’s most loved boutique hotel brands. The collective includes names like Design Research Studio (Tom Dixon), Roman & Williams and Concrete Amsterdam who have all been inspired by the brand’s design concept- the Modern Romance of Sailing and Mission to Redefine the Experience of a Vacation at Sea.
