Sky Princess Arrives in Southampton
It truly does feel like cruising is back as more and more beautiful ships sail the Solent into Southampton. Today was a big day as the city welcomed Princess Cruises’ Sky Princess to what will be her new homeport for the foreseeable future.
The arrival of Sky Princess earlier today (23 July 2021), marks the ship’s inaugural visit to the UK.
The 3,660-guest MedallionClass Sky Princess which launched late 2019 to much excitement, is one of the newest vessels in the Princess fleet. Her journey into port was captured on camera by local award-winning photographer, Andrew Sassoli-Walker who kindly agreed to me sharing his photographs.

Princess Cruises’ Seacations
Cruise enthusiasts here in the U.K. have waited in excited anticipation for her arrival ahead of Princess Cruises’ ‘Summer Seacations’ season, which starts with Regal Princess from July 31, 2021.
Sky Princess will join its sister ship to sail a series of Seacations from August 30, 2021, offering scenic coastal cruises and itineraries with UK ports-of-call including Portland, Liverpool, Belfast and Greenock.
