Traditional, Reservable, Open Seating, and Anywhere Service Now Available for Every Guest Preference

Following the successful debut aboard new Sun Princess, Princess Cruises has made waves in the cruise industry with the announcement of a major enhancement to its main dining options across its entire fleet. This exciting development promises to provide guests with the ultimate dining experience, tailored to their individual preferences, through three distinct table service options: Traditional, Reservable, and Walk-in Anytime, all complemented by the brand’s exclusive OceanNow location-based “anywhere” service.

In a move dedicated to personalisation and superior service, Princess Cruises will allocate separate dining rooms on each ship to accommodate the three table service options. These include traditional dining with early and late seating, reservable dining times, and open seating for walk-ins anytime. This innovative approach seamlessly integrates with the line’s groundbreaking OceanNow service, allowing guests to order anything, anytime, and have it delivered anywhere onboard, setting Princess apart as a leader in accommodating diverse guest dining preferences.

This fleetwide rollout follows the overwhelming success of the new dining concept introduced aboard the recently launched Sun Princess. The ship’s three-storey dining room, featuring traditional, reservable, and walk-in options, received rave reviews from guests, prompting Princess Cruises to extend the concept across its entire fleet.

Sami Kohen, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Princess Cruises, remarking on the changes, “Our guests have been delighted with the dining flexibility aboard Sun Princess, and we’re pleased to extend the concept to all the other ships in our fleet. These flexible dining options ensure that their dining preference is effortlessly accommodated.”

Commencing on 15 April 2024, the new dining approach will be implemented on Princess voyages departing on or after 14 September 2024. To facilitate the transition, main dining reservations for voyages sailing on September 14 and beyond, excluding Sun Princess, will be cancelled. However, reservations for guests sailing through September 13 will remain unaffected.

Beginning June 17, booked guests will have the opportunity to use the Princess Cruises app to select their preferred dining option. They can opt for traditional seating in a dedicated dining room, offering the same waiter, table, and time each night, or choose flexible dining, allowing them to dine at any available time and table size in either the Reservable or Open Seating dining rooms.

Importantly, these changes will not impact guests booked in specialty dining restaurants or suite accommodations, who enjoy dedicated dining spaces where no reservations are required.

Princess Cruises’ commitment to innovation and guest satisfaction shines through in this bold move towards enhancing the dining experience for all guests, ensuring a memorable and personalised journey at sea.
