When is Sun Princess’s Maiden Voyage?
Sun Princess was to embark on her inaugural voyage on 8 February 2024. However in a press release today (24 January 2024) it has been announced that delivery has been delayed with mutual agreement between the shipyard and Princess Cruises. Currently it is assumed that the following cruise due to embark Civitavecchia in Italy on 18 February will now be the maiden voyage. However, this has yet to be confirmed.

Where will Sun Princess go on Maiden Voyage?

For her inaugural cruise, Sun Princess was to embark Barcelona for a 10-night one-way Mediterranean voyage to Civitavecchia (Rome). The itinerary was to include visits to Palma in Majorca, Messina in Sicily, Piraeus for Athens, Kusadasi in Turkey, Santorini, Naples before arriving in Civitavecchia on 18 February 2024. However due to the postponed delivery (see above) this will be subject to change - although the ports of call are likely to stay the same, if in a different order.
Where Will Sun Princess be Sailing from in 2024?
Sun Princess will be sailing 7-23 night cruises around the Mediterranean and Western Europe (including Southampton) for the Spring and Summer season. On 14th September 2024 Sun Princess will sail transatlantic from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale from where she will commence her winter Caribbean schedule.
Sun Princess will embark from various ports during 2024 including Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Piraeus and Southampton in Europe and Fort Lauderdale in Autumn/winter 2024/2025.. Many of the European itineraries are one way cruises embarking and disembarking in different ports.
Will Sun Princess Sail out of Southampton in 2024?
In her inaugural season, Sun Princess will only embark from Southampton as part of a longer 25 day transatlantic voyage from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale. The ship will arrive in Southampton on 23 September 2024 before embarking on the final leg across the Atlantic later the same day. There will be one last chance for us in the U.K. to catch sight of Sun Princess when she calls into Portland, Dorset on 24th September.

Of all Suites, 389 are Mini-Suites, including 146 new Cabana suites. There are 460 Inside (Interior) cabins and 186 Oceanview Cabins.

What are the Adult Only Areas on Sun Princess?
The Sanctuary is an adult-only retreat with drinks services and offering al fresco massage. The Signature Sun Deck is a private area of the Sanctuary for Signature Suite guests. The Cabana Deck is another exclusive outdoor space, with comfortable furniture with exclusive access for guests of the Cabana Mini-Suite.
