Mundy Cruises Debuts World's First Luxury Pickleball Cruise

Pickleball is rapidly becoming one of the most popular racket sports in the world, and Mundy Cruising is launching the world’s first luxury pickleball cruise, aimed at those who have embraced the sport but are yet to experience the delights of luxury cruising.

Sailing aboard Crystal’s 606-guest Crystal Symphony on an 18th September 2024 Dover round-trip, the eight-night voyage will bring pickleball enthusiasts together for a truly luxurious experience, featuring friendly matches on the ship’s two pickleball courts.

Pickleball - the world’s fastest growing sport is coming to Crystal Symphony

“Pickleball is likely the world’s fastest-growing sport, and we’ve crafted this cruise for those who want to combine their love of the game with an unparalleled luxury cruise experience,” says Alexander Loizou, Director of Sales, Marketing & Operations at Mundy Cruising. “With its excellent facilities, including two pickleball courts, Crystal Symphony was an obvious first choice for our inaugural pickleball cruise. The ship also offers a wide range of additional sports and enrichment amenities, including a 3,000+ square-foot fitness centre with weight room and aerobics studio, a full promenade deck, the recently refurbished Aurora Spa, golf nets and a putting green, a Computer University@Sea, and much more,” he adds.

Solo Pickleball Players welcome on Crystal Symphony

“We’re particularly keen to attract guests travelling solo who wish to connect with others through a shared interest such as pickleball,” says Edwina Lonsdale, Managing Director of Mundy Cruising. “Crystal has always provided exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere, making it ideal for solo travellers. With dedicated solo accommodation added during last year’s refurbishment and a special offer on their beautiful Sapphire Ocean View Suites at just a 25% supplement, this cruise is perfect for those looking to travel without compromise.”

Crystal’s only no-fly voyage includes an overnight stay in IJmuiden for Amsterdam, stops in Zeebrugge, two nights in Rouen, and St Peter Port, with notable guest speakers tracing the path of Allied forces during World War II, marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day and Operation Market Garden. For those booking with Mundy, guaranteed court time will be provided, and an exclusive meet-and-greet cocktail party will be hosted at the start of the cruise.

Prices start from £3,795 per person, with free parking at Dover available. Solo guest rooms are available from £4,995, and solo supplements for Sapphire Ocean View Suites start at just 25%. Prices include all meals, speciality dining, all drinks including premium spirits, onboard entertainment, fitness classes, wellness facilities, a stimulating programme of daytime activities, lectures and classes, gratuities, taxes, and complimentary WiFi throughout the ship.
