Carnival Splendor Emerges from Dry Dock

Carnival Splendor Departs for Sydney Following Dry Dock Upgrades in Singapore

Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled the newly updated Carnival Splendor following her dry dock in Singapore, showcasing a fresh red, white, and blue hull design first introduced by Carnival in 2021. The ship now also features the Southern Cross constellation on both sides—a nod to the heritage of P&O Cruises Australia, whose ships, Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter, will join Carnival’s fleet in March 2025 as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Explorer.

The Southern Cross, a symbol historically used by sailors navigating to Australia, has been incorporated to link Carnival Splendor with its soon-to-be sister ships. This update comes as part of Carnival’s plans to integrate P&O Cruises Australia into its brand next year, with significant technology upgrades and system enhancements underway for the transition. Carnival is also working closely with P&O crew members to offer them positions when the ships officially join the Carnival fleet.

In addition to her new livery, Carnival Splendor will debut several exciting guest upgrades when she returns to service in Sydney on 9th September. Further details on these enhancements will be revealed upon her arrival.
