Carnival Unveils Ex-UK Solar Eclipse Cruise as Part of 2026 Programme

Carnival Cruise Line has announced an exciting addition to its 2026 summer season: a solar eclipse cruise departing from the UK. This 11-day Carnival Journeys Eclipse voyage aboard the Carnival Legend will set sail from Dover on 9th August 2026, with the solar eclipse scheduled to occur on 12th August while the ship is at sea. The itinerary includes stops at Le Havre (Paris), St. Peter Port (Guernsey), Vigo (Spain), Lisbon and Leixões (Porto) in Portugal, Le Verdon (Bordeaux), and Zeebrugge (Brussels). Prices for this unique voyage start at £1,120 per person.

This solar eclipse cruise is part of a broader programme of nine ex-UK sailings from Dover in summer 2026. These cruises, ranging from nine to 12 days, are available for booking now, with prices starting from £772 per person. The itineraries will run from 7th June to 23rd October, with Carnival Legend returning to Dover following a successful 2024 season.

Explore Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Mediterranean

In addition to the solar eclipse voyage, Carnival’s 2026 programme offers a variety of itineraries exploring Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Mediterranean. Northern Europe cruises will visit cities such as Copenhagen and Amsterdam, with additional stops in Ireland, England, and Scotland, as well as a special cruise featuring four stops in Iceland.

Scandinavia and Baltic cruises will include visits to destinations in Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Belgium. Meanwhile, a Mediterranean cruise will take guests to beautiful locations across Portugal, Spain, and France.

Carnival Legend will also operate nine and 12-day cruises from Civitavecchia (Rome), with stops in iconic destinations like Istanbul and Kusadasi (Ephesus) in Turkey, Piraeus (Athens) and Mykonos in Greece, Naples (Amalfi/Pompeii) in Italy, and Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia. The ship’s final European voyage for the season will be a 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise departing from Civitavecchia to Tampa, Florida, on 1st November 2026.

Carnival’s Alaska and Hawaii Adventures

Carnival’s 2026 summer programme also features exciting adventures in Alaska. Carnival Miracle will join Carnival Spirit in sailing from Seattle to Alaska, with seven-day itineraries departing every Thursday from 7th May 2026. These cruises will visit Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, and Victoria (British Columbia). Two special Carnival Journeys sailings will also be available on Carnival Miracle: a nine-day voyage with an additional stop in Sitka, and a 10-day cruise through the Inside Passage, including a visit to Icy Strait Point. Prices start at £927 per person.

Carnival Spirit will operate Alaska sailings from 28th April to 15th September 2026. After returning to Seattle on 23rd September, the ship will embark on a 15-day round-trip Carnival Journeys cruise to Hawaii, with stops at Honolulu (Oahu), Nawiliwili (Kauai), Kahului (Maui), and Hilo (Hawaii), as well as Victoria (British Columbia).

Additionally, Carnival has introduced four Carnival Journeys cruises transiting the Panama Canal, which will reposition Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit before and after the Alaskan summer season.
