New Cruise Magazine Launched

“SAIL AWAY” MAGAZINE

Written for Cruise Lovers by Cruise Lovers

In October 2023, a brand new cruise magazine, SAIL AWAY, was launched by social media content creators, ‘Sail Away with Dan & Jay’, and it has been well received by all who have subscribed so far.

What makes this magazine unique is that it is written entirely by established cruise bloggers and Vloggers, each with their own dedicated following and who, like SAIL AWAY’s readers, are passionate about holidaying at sea. Another thing that sets this new magazine apart from its competitors is the fact that founders Dan and Jay have pledged that £1 ($1) from each copy sold will be donated to marine conservation charity, ORCA.

Who are SAIL AWAY’s Regular Writers?

The magazine features contributions from renowned regular columnists, including Kathy Taylor from Cruise Lowdown (yes, that’s me!), Jenny Cookman from Travel Counsellors, and the globetrotting duo Jan and Steve from Crossey Travellers. Also joining the lineup are Tom and Scott from Vitamin Sea UK, each offering their distinct take on the world of cruising.

Guest Contributors

Added to the mix each month, are esteemed guest contributors and social media favourites such as Paul and Carole Love to Travel, JJ Cruise, Tom & Dom Travel, Cruise Life Matt, Coast to Coasters, Ship Faced, Travelling with Connor, and Cunardcritic, and no-doubt many more in the future. Each contributor brings a unique flavour to the magazine, enriching the reading experience for cruise enthusiasts.

Content is King: Cruise Reviews, Quizzes, Competitions and More

Beyond the enlightening articles, SAIL AWAY Magazine doesn't fall short on entertainment. Readers can delve into comprehensive cruise reviews, engage in stimulating games and puzzles, test their knowledge with quizzes, and participate in exciting competitions hosted by some of the biggest cruise brands in the industry.

December’s Issue with Guest Star, Captain Kate McCue

At the helm of December 2023’s edition is none other than Captain Kate McCue, Master of Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Beyond, bringing a unique perspective and a wealth of experience navigating the high seas.

Whilst Captain Kate is undoubtedly the main attraction, December’s issue unfolds with a treasure trove of insights, opinions, and experiences from prominent figures across the cruise industry. This edition promises a captivating blend of regular contributors, guest stars, and esteemed guest contributors who collectively shape the diverse tapestry of maritime adventures. As it’s the festive season, my own article uncovers just what to expect on a Christmas Cruise.

Doing Your Bit In Supporting Marine Conservation

Subscribers to SAIL AWAY Magazine are not just indulging in their passion for cruising; they are also contributing to a noble cause. The magazine pledges to donate £1 ($1) per issue every month to ORCA, a marine conservation charity dedicated to monitoring, conserving, and protecting the world's whale and dolphin populations. This charitable initiative underscores the magazine's commitment to environmental stewardship.

About ORCA - Guardian of the Seas

Delving into the mission of ORCA, the marine conservation charity, the magazine sheds light on their belief in safeguarding whales and dolphins. ORCA's approach involves identifying vulnerable areas, undertaking long-term monitoring, and studying habitats to evidence adverse impacts. Collaborating closely with cruise ships, ferries, and commercial freight shipping, ORCA seeks solutions to combat threats such as shipping, fishing, noise pollution, and marine litter, ensuring the continued protection of cetacean populations.

Subscription Options - Navigating Your Reading Preferences

SAIL AWAY Magazine offers readers two subscription options tailored to their preferences. A printed copy, available at £5.95, ensures a tangible reading experience delivered to your doorstep. Alternatively, the digital copy, priced at £2.95, provides the convenience of an email-delivered edition.

In conclusion, Sail Away Magazine is not just a collection of articles; it's a journey through the vast and dynamic world of cruising, guided by the expertise and passion of industry insiders. As readers navigate the pages, they not only embark on exciting voyages but also contribute to the preservation of our oceans through the magazine's charitable partnership with ORCA.
