Virgin Voyages UK Summer Soirees Health Protocols

Virgin Voyages will be launching their UK Summer Soirees next month out of Portsmouth on the beautiful Scarlet Lady.

In line with current regulations, Virgin Voyages have enhanced their health protocols so check below to see what their requirements are. Remember Covid-19 is a fast-moving, ever-changing situation, so do check with the Virgin Voyages directly to confirm current status.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Sailors will be tested close to the terminal prior to boarding. This test is complimentary, the cost being met by Virgin Voyages.

If Driving: Sailors will need to park up at the test centre (directions will be provided upon booking). After providing proof of vaccination, the test will be administered and if negative, you will be issued with your luggage label, your Band (the wearable), and an additional band to indicate that you’ve been cleared. You will then need to drive to the terminal to park and board.

If you arrive by public transport or being dropped off, follow directions to the test centre as provided by Virgin Voyages. Following the steps above, you will be transported to the cruise terminal via bus.

Virgin Voyages’ definition of “vaccinated”
- a minimum of fourteen days following the second dose of the currently approved Covid-19 vaccines being administered, or 14 days following the recently approved single-dose Janssen Covid-19 vaccine being administered.

Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Oxford/Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccines require two shots for full vaccination.

Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine only requires one shot.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CONTACT TRACING

If you are contacted by the NHS Track & Trace Notification system during the voyage and told to self isolate, you will have to immediately return to your cabin and isolate for the remainder of the voyage.

I suggest contacting Virgin Voyages directly for up-do-date information.
