Cocktail of the week - Vespa Martini 007 Style
Shaken not Stirred - Naturally!
In celebration of all things James Bond, here is the recipe for his simple, but classic martini of choice. Available in all cruise martini and gin bars of note - but maybe with different names.
Cruise Ship Trivia
Did you know the James Bond film "Diamonds are Forever" was partially filmed on board P&O's CANBERRA in 1971? Stars of the film, including, of course Sean Connery, can be seen on deck in this poster, produced for the company.
In fact when my daughter was an Entertainments Officer with P&O they often hosted James Bond Nights, including quizzes and entertainment paying homage to 007. I’m unsure whether this theme continues but why not host your own 007 party on formal night?
Ingredients
85g gin (has to be Gordon's of course)
28g vodka
14g dry vermouth (or Lillet Blonde)
Garnish: lemon peel
Method
In a cocktail shaker, combine the ingredients.
